Elias looked out the balcony. He looked back towards the room door, wondering when Maddison would walk through the door. But seeing as he'd waited for almost an hour, he realized he was going to be disappointed.
"What was I thinking?!" He muttered to himself in defeat as he sat on a chair.
He planted his head in his hands, replaying what had happened earlier. How did he go from saving her from a sleazy guy to getting into a fight? Elias couldn't think straight.
He got up on his feet, pacing the length of the balcony. But the more he thought about it, the more angry he got.
"I didn't do anything wrong!" He reasoned with himself.
It was Maddison's reaction that he could not understand.
She didn't know the day he'd had.
