"What have you been hiding from me, Maddison?" He asked sternly as he got up from his seat. 

Maddison averted her gaze, trying not to look him in the eyes.

"I don't know what you're talking about," She replied coldly as she folded her arms. 

"You've been like this since that night. Why won't you tell me what's wrong?" He asked in frustration as he curled his hand into a fist. 

Leo started putting the pieces together. He realized what Elias was referring to. He assumed Maddison had already spoken to Elias about it. But clearly, that was not the case. 

"It's nothing, you're worrying too much."

"Too much?!" He was reaching his limit, "First Markus Krux, now a possible assassination attempt. Don't you think I deserve to know what the hell is going on?!" 

Leo got up on his feet and put himself between Maddison and Elias. His two bodyguards were on high alert too.
