On the road

Mel: seriously Sam you didn't even talk to him?

Sam:(eyes on the road)who?

Mel:(rolling her eyes ) don't play dumb with me

Sam:was I supposed to? I didn't see any reason why I should.... Besides what would you had had me say??

Mel: anything.... Like hi or hey I'm sam....

Sam: Ohkay so I would have gone like this.... ( In a babyish tone), hey thoneey I'm sam the girl who's been crushing on you for a long time... Also the one who uses to leave letters in you locker during highschool.. and the one who texted you yesterday night ....like "the fuck" who does that...

Mel:no no like taking it slow ... You know what I mean..

Sam: Mel, thanks so much for all your help really buh I think I'm done, seriously...

Mel: what do you mean your done?

Sam:I'm done having unreciprocated feelings for someone that doesn't know I even exist... Seriously it's only a werido that would have a thing for another girl's boyfriend for Soo long.....

Mel: awwwn (smiling) even though I'm kinda sad we won't be sis inlaws like we planned... I'm still proud of you baby( patting her back)

After dropping Nyla home Nathaniel and thoneey were discussing about something when thonney suddenly remembered the purple headed girl

Thoneey:who was the girl on black

Nat: who??

Thoneey:the one with the purple hair

Nat:oh you mean Sam?

Thoneey:Sam?? I think I've heard that name before (focused on the road)

Nat : yh you have, she attended the Same highschool with us(thoneey still tryna remember where he had seen her or heard her name before)

Thoneey:yh I remember you having a friend, you and Mel, buh she had a black hair and looked nothing like the girl I just saw

Nat:she dyes her hair to purple and yh she no more wears make-up

Thoneey:oh figures

Nat:why are you asking so much questions

Thoneey: nothing yus curious... quick question though.. is she straight??

Nat: yh yh she is does she look like someone's who's not??

Thoneey:yh ain't it obvious from the way she dresses..

Nat:yh true though.. bro re you sure you're just feeding you're curiosity??

Thoneey:yh , actually I'm still kinda surprised as to how a girl could be pretty without make-up(looking at his sis)I think you should learn from her

Nat : (glaring at him) I'm a fashion designer, while she's just Mel's manager for what reason does she have to dull up?? besides it's not like she wants to anyway

Thoneey:yh yh I know nd I was just joking you're beautiful the way you are (smiling at her)I think we've reached your destination ma'am

Nat: thanks bro .... Make sure maltida is back this night as promised (coming down from the car)

Thoneey: Ohkay sure .... Wait you gave your car a name?? (In a confused look, he watched Nat as she entered her boutique) Crazy Nathy

After dropping Mel, sam quickly went to a house actually her brother's house where she lived before.... More like a little mansion the house had enough rooms and equipped with furnitures she quickly changed her clothes and wore a nose masks with shades she looked completely unrecognizable,

Sam:hmmmm which among these two cars should I ride today?, (putting her hand on her chin, she quickly entered one of the black cars , wearing a nose mask and dark shades) Samuel is Soo gonna kill me if he finds out I'm driving his cars .. she said with a chuckle

One reaching the company she met marbel standing waiting for her already, she was a young female, probably in her mid twenties and was the assistant to sam

Coming down from her car she gave the keys to one of the drivers to have it parked in the garage walking towards where marble stood she asked "any problem?"Pushing her glasses upwards she answered "yes ma, the chairman agreed to the proposal of the Williams made about the requirements of oil in Africa .... "She was Interrupted by Sam " what??... y?? " Two of them now walking towards the elevator marble who walked behind her wondered how she was supposed to know why the chairman agreed to the proposal clearing her throat she answered "I don't know ma" pausing for a bit she continued "and the share holders equally agreed to it" Sam stoped at the front of the elevator and turned to look at her in surprise" seriously?? You guys even held meeting without me ??" Obviously you thought we would wait for you ?? Only God knows where you go throughout the day only to arrive at work around 4pm marble thought . If her boss were to hear what she was thinking right now she'ld be fired instantly without a thought, forcing a smile she replied"yes ma'am... It was held by the chairman" Sam who now removed her gaze from marble mummred for only her to hear " oh dad" entering the elevator she said to marble without looking at her "thanks for informing me I'll like my usual in my office " not entering the elevator she said" Ohkay ma " leaving for the cafeteria she mummred " oh my God I hate my job" it's not as if she had any choice she was a single mom with a four year old child still in kindergarten as a young single mom she had to look for means to survive both her and her son

On her way to her office most of the staffs bowed their heads in respect while she walked past them while she gave no reply . the staffs were cautious not to be too curious of who she was not because the weren't curious at all but because of what happened to the over curious ones . Reaching her office she quickly video called her dad and tapped the desk with her long nails as she waited impatiently when he finally picked her dad was the first to speak " hey darling how you ..." Not letting her dad finish she quickly chipped in " dad why would you hold a meeting without my presence, you went as far as accepting a company that I did not approve of " taking a deep breath she continued " I get this is ur business, but let me run my company my way dad "her dad who had been listened to her quietly allowed her to finish before he replied. Being a single dad with 4 children wasn't easy at all his wife died few months after Samantha was born for this he loved his daughter dearly taking her as the last gift left by his beloved, funny enough she was the exact replica of his wife even in character only that his wife had silver hair while she was born with black hair " hey calm down darling , but it was actually your brother's decision not mine you know it's the chairman's decision I only played a role by approving it "he said while giving her a smile , sam's eyes widened at the mention of her brother "wait wait he's back??" " Yh he is..this noon actually" pausing a bit he continued " didn't he tell you? " Frowning she replied " no he didn't" "in that case u didn't hear if from me " lost in thought she finally said " dad I gotta go see you later " "Ohkay then love .... " Not letting her dad finish she said " yeah yeah love you too " then she cut the call . Sighing her dad smiled " hmmm my little angel look how big our daughter has grown Clariel"

As she hurriedly left the office she almost bumped into marble who had a cup of parfait in her hands "ma'am your drink" marble said as she stretched the drink forward, Sam who walked past her in a hurry said " you can have it, I'm in a hurry " remembering something she turned back" when u said chairman were u referring to my brother?? "

Marble had an habit of answering her boss in the rudest ways possible she didn't even know why she hated her .. yh of course who else my ex?? Snapping out of her thoughts she replied " uhmmm yes ma'am" hearing this sam smiled " pls help me finish the paperwork in my office I'll be back by noon tomorrow to crosscheck them "saying that she quickly left without hearing marble's reply ,but marble being marble still gave her reply when her boss couldn't hear what she said " of course ma'am it's not like I have any other choice" rolling her eyes she took a sip out of the parfait and left for the office.

Sam quickly drove back to where she took the car from to return it and was expecting to see her brother there being his house, but to her surprise no one was there , going to where her car was packed now wondering if he had gone to stay at a hotel , buh thinking about it he wasn't the type to do that looking at her phone she cursed " oh shit past five" taking off her disguise she quickly went to pickup nat and Mel for shopping as planned

On the way to sam's house nat wondered if they should spend the night at sam's house, "I was thinking..." She paused a bit before she continued " if we could spend the night at sam's house hmmm what do y'all think" Melanie who was focused in her phone replied " yh that'd be great " " Ohkay I'm fine with it" Sam said as she put her ear pods in as she was about to receive a call " yh so?" Talking to the receiver as the person replied we haven't seen him all day here ma and he didn't book an appointment either" disappointed she replied "Ohkay then thanks, inform me as soon as you guys here anything from him" " Ohkay ma'am" the receiver replied then she cut the call " where could that brat be ??" She said in a whisper while focusing on the road "Any problem" Nathaniel asked " no no everything's good" she lied , the least she wanted right now was letting Melanie know that Samuel was back after so many years, she didn't want to see her best friend in any pain

Parking at her garage they took out the stuff they bought , nat headed inside the house while she heard sam tell her in a loud voice" the same password babe" typing in the house's password she entered inside the dark house as the lights were off immediately she shouted as she felt someone touch her waist and raised her up mel who was already at the door step rushed inside to check what happened , quickly putting on the lights she opened her mouth in surprise as her bags fell
