William asked. "So, what do you need us for, Wizard King?"

"Working hard, kid!" Yami looked at Alex and commented.

Alex sighed and shrugged his shoulder. "It's such a boring task. Man, I need a drink after this."

Yami chuckled and took out a packet of cigarettes, asking. "Want one?"

"And here I thought you would never ask." Alex smiled and took one, lighting it to take a deep breath.

"Haah... that hit a spot."

While he was doing that, he was staring at William with a playful smile.

William couldn't help but turn serious as a layer of sweat formed on his forehead.

'Did he... It is impossible!...'

Charlotte glanced at him with a peculiar light before asking. "These two are from the Eye of the Midnight Sun... Did you learn something from them, Master Julius?"

Julius smiled and nodded his head. "Yep. Several things actually, thanks to Asta and Marx. But I suppose the biggest one is... I'll ask you both again."

His smile disappeared as he addressed the two prisoners who were in a daze.

"Tell me the name of the captain... who betrayed us?!"

His question exploded like thunder in the ears of everyone present in the room, catching everyone off-guard.

The prisoners opened their mouths and replied simultaneously.

"It's... The captain of the Purple Orcas, Gueldre Poizot."

The man in question was shocked. His eyes threatened to jump out of their sockets as he shouted, looking extremely surprised.

"RIDICULOUS!! As if I would ever betray the Clover Kingdom."

On the other hand, the other captains had no particular reaction aside from staring at him cautiously.

It was like they had already expected it to a certain degree.

Charlotte was the first to open his mouth as she said. "I have heard a few dark rumors about you. I assume them false but..."

Jack chimed in. "I knew you were probably up to something fishy... But that's..."

"Don't be an idiot! This is impossible!" Gueldre barked. "They are trying to frame me as a traitor!!"

He resembled someone who had been caught red-headed, trying to get out of the predicament.

Yami patted his shoulder and said. "Calm down, Hard Ham! Why don't you just let the bowl head at your memories? If you're really a clear ham..."

"Well, uh, I..." Gueldre was sweating profusely, his eyes filled with fear and dread.

Yami took a puff of his cigarette, asking. "What? You're embarrassed?"

Gueldre's eyes darted in all directions and he quickly summoned out his grimoire, activating a spell. His body slowly disappeared and his voice echoed in the large room.

"This is a trap! I-I... I'll clear my name! This is a strategic retreat!"

"Yeesh!... He is gonna run for it? Stuff just got real..." Yami muttered, looking completely relaxed.

Charlotte shouted, anxious. "This is bad! His transparency magic makes him vanish for a set amount of time. All spells will pass right through him."

She wanted to chase but quickly found herself hitting something hard in front.

Gueldre had summoned an army of invisible knights to stop the other captains while he could safely escape.

Alex who was watching everything took a puff as he grabbed the hilt of his sword.

*Whoosh-!*

An invisible ripple passed through the room and a deep slash appeared on the door along with the wall startling everyone.

It was followed by a scream of agony as they saw Gueldre appearing again. He had fallen on the ground, screaming in pain.

Looking a little behind, they saw a small puddle of blood with his two legs lying on the ground, severed from his body.

Yami chuckled as he had already anticipated something like that.

But Julius and the other captains turned their heads and saw Alex releasing a cloud of smoke, looking completely relaxed.

He was a perfect image of someone who had nothing to do with the current situation at all.

Alex smiled at everyone and said. "What? If you guys are so worried for him to escape again then just cut his limbs so he could not even crawl away. And also..."

A terrifying killing intent enveloped the entire room and everyone inside it as they saw his smile disappearing, replaced by a frown.

"Will you guys tone down your mana, it's hitting a nerve."

Let alone the captains, even Julius could feel a threat from him. He could feel that if let loose of himself, Alex could be a very tough opponent.

"Alright, alright, you should tone down your killing intent too. Do you want to scare everyone to death?!" Yami asked with a smirk.

Alex snorted and retreated his aura which returned the room back to normal. He glanced at Gueldre who was trying to use his hands to move and said coldly.

"If you don't want to lose your hands too, then you better stay where you're. I will not hesitate to cut you into pieces!"

Gueldre shuddered under his threat, plopping down and resigning to his fate.

Julius smiled and said. "Not bad. It's a good suggestion. Maybe we should cut the limbs of the prisoners next time so they can't escape. Hahaha..."

Rill Boismortier, the youngest man to become a captain, used his painting magic to bind the already defeated Gueldre.

The captain of the Aqua Deer was a young man with spiky, aqua-colored hair in a messy mound atop his head.

He was wearing a light-colored shirt under a dark blue vest that was held closed by a bronze-colored belt. His dark blue pants ended halfway down his shins, and his shoes were bronze-colored slippers. Over this, he wore a long, white open coat with two pairs of large, turquoise diamonds on the front and the sleeves.

He observed the serious atmosphere and tried to tone it down a little as he cheerfully spoke.

"Wow, you're amazing. Seriously, how do you know where Poizot was? You even undone his magic..."

Rill held Alex's hand and cheerfully continued. "Nevermind. I'm Rill and I'm 19. What's your name?"

His personality was quite something among the ever-stern and weird personalities of other captains.

Alex smiled and introduced himself. "Asta. And I'm 15!"

"Really? Then you're even younger than me and so strong! Anyway, let's be friends, okay?"

"Sure," Alex chuckled and shook hands with him.

Rill smiled and said. "Everyone here is older than me. It's rough to get along with them."

Alex smiled and nodded his head. "I get you. It's difficult to be the only normal one among so many weirdoes!"

Yami's lips twitched as he grumbled. "I can hear you, you jerks! And you both are the weird ones here."

Julius smiled at their interaction and turned to Gueldre with an extremely serious expression.

"Now then, we have many things to ask you, Gueldre!"

Gueldre's face paled in an instant as he shivered, unable to break free from the spell.

Marx sighed and ignored everyone aside from Alex. Giving a deep look, he moved to Gueldre, retrieving all of his memories.
