Gifso then revealed that he knew the reason behind their visit. And he quickly followed it by saying that he would hand over the magic stone if the Black Bulls would play a game with him.

Of course, they accepted. When Yami accepted it, Alex saw his grin grow wider.

Gifso then said that they would have a battle royale. He called the underwater Priests, and they appeared with white coats and fish masks.

"All right then... Let the games begin!" Gifso yelled as water appeared from underground and sent everyone away with a powerful stream of water.

In the end, everyone was separated and ended up in a cave.

Asta grinned as he was looking forward to the game and also to beat the crap out of all the priests.

Gifso then gave a speech about what happened and where they were. He then explained the rules of the game.

After he explained the rules, Alex came across one of the Priests who was wearing an octopus-shaped mask.

"Huh, that's funny... I can't feel any magic from you. Can you really fight?" The Priest mocked.

Alex chuckled. "Tch. I want to fight that hammerhead-masked guy since he is the strongest. But it seems I got the weakest."

"You sure talk big..." The Priest laughed and summoned his grimoire but...

*Whoosh*

Before he could finish, Alex moved and appeared in front of the masked guy in a flash and sliced.

The Priest was unable to react and his chest got sliced open with blood splurted out as he lost consciousness, lying down on the ground.

Alex glanced at his wound and muttered. "I don't have time to play with you, man. So, don't take it to heart, okay?"

The wound wasn't deep so it was not life-threatening and Alex walked over in search of the next guy.

He continued cutting the weird fishes the High Priest created with his game magic until he came across a guy with a swordfish mask.

The guy introduced himself as Kiato and he was as cheerful and enthusiastic as Kahono, both of the siblings were very alike in nature. He also happily told Alex about his dream of becoming a popular dancer. He followed it by sharing that he could achieve it if they successfully took out Alex and his other friends.

And so, he instantly attacked Alex. When he moved, water covered his swords, forming a sharp blade as he danced around Alex so the latter would be unable to predict his next movement.

But Alex just raised his sword and easily blocked his attacks.

Kiato continued his pursuit but Alex was not in a hurry as he was playing with him, blocking and deflecting all of the attacks.

And after waiting for around fifteen minutes, he finally felt it as a smile appeared on his face.

He looked at Kiato who was still trying to break through his defence to land a hit.

"I'm sorry, man but something more important shows up so..."

*Whoosh*

Kiato was in the middle of charging at Alex when Alex appeared in front of him, like short-distance teleportation.

"What the... Ugh!..."

A powerful force slammed into his stomach, turning his insides upside down. He felt like vomiting out everything until the pain overcame his senses and he lost consciousness.

Alex glanced at him and sighed. "Sorry. But it's best this way."

He then heard Yami's voice that echoed all over the temple as he was still stuck with the old man. And due to the appearance of the Vetto and the members of the Eye of the Midnight Sun, the mission had changed.

Yami asked them to surpass their limits and defeat them.

Alex grinned and walked in the direction from where he could feel the presence of Vetto.

When he arrived at the place, he saw Magna and Luck using the Combo Magic to combine their magic and use everything they had to land a hit on Vetto.

But in the end, the big was too strong even for both of them combined.

Vetto stared at his hands as the mana surrounding them dissipated. He then glanced at the fallen Magna and Luck, muttering.

"So, you are just worms. You can't even put a scratch on me even if you try your best."

He then covered his hand again with mana, giving it the shape of a claw as he charged at them.

"Take this despair that's called death!"

*Clang*

*Whoosh!*

However, before he could even touch them, a massive force slammed into his shoulder.

The power was so strong that it cut the ground in half alongside Vetto's right shoulder.

A bloody hand flew in an arc and hit the ground a hundred meters behind, lying there motionless.

Vetto was unable to react at all and by the time it seeped into his consciousness, it was already too late. Glancing at his missing shoulder, Vetto screamed in pain.

"Aarrgghhh!!"

Not too far away, two people were running towards the center where the battle was going on with anxious expressions.

But they abruptly came to a halt after feeling a tremor which was followed by a bloody scream.

"J-Just what is going on?" Noelle furrowed her brows and asked.

Kahono narrowed her eyes and said solemnly. "It seems someone is fighting against that guy just now."

"But who?" Noelle asked with a worried expression.

Somewhere in a separate place, Yami and Gifso were staring at the screen with gaping mouths, unable to comprehend anything at all.

"What the hell was that?" Gifso cried out, his forehead drenched in sweat.

Yami furrowed his brows for a moment before a familiar face popped into his mind. He grinned and relaxed, taking a puff of his cigarette.

"Don't worry, old man. Everything is going to be just fine."

"Huh? What do you mean?"

Yami shook his head and pointed at the screen. "Just continue to watch."

While they were chatting, on the screen, a young man with ash blond hair walked out from a path into everyone's view holding a sword in his hand.

"We meet again, Vetto the Despair. Last time, you escaped but this time, hehe... there is no one to interfere."

"It's you!" Vetto glared at Alex in hatred, gritting his teeth. He had never felt so humiliated by anyone, got beaten one-sided by a human. Many painful memories flashed in his mind and a deep-rooted hatred burst out as a third eye opened on Vetto's forehead.

"Impressive! You really drew me out... human!!..."

Just as the eye appeared, the entire aura of that guy transformed into something eerie and sinister. He chanted an ancient spell and regenerated his lost arm, grinning like a devil.

"Starting now... I'll show you real despair."

*Whoosh*

Alex also grinned and flashed on his face, stepping on it, staring down at him.

"You talk too much for someone so weak!"
