"That clears up my suspicions!" Patolli muttered under his breath, his gaze sharp as if he were piecing together a puzzle. He had always been wary of Alex's intentions, especially when it came to the young knight's unusual interest in the devils. Something about Alex's demeanor unsettled him, yet he couldn't deny the sense of foreboding truth in his words.

"But still…" Fuegoleon murmured, his face clouded with concern as the discussion grew heavier. "This situation is getting out of hand."

"Contracting a devil for power…" Nozel began, his cold voice slicing through the air. Yet before he could continue, Alex interrupted with a sharp snort, his tone dripping with disdain.

"Save your sanctimonious judgment," Alex retorted, his words striking like thunder. "At least I'm upfront about my choices, unlike your ancestors who wiped out an entire race and stole their magic for their own gain."

"W-Wha… What did you say?" Nozel stammered, his usually calm demeanor shattering.

His shock was mirrored in the wide eyes of Noelle and the other Royal Knights. Even Fuegoleon, typically the embodiment of reason and honor, narrowed his eyes dangerously. His tone turned icy as he spoke, his words laced with restrained anger.

"Asta, clarify your statement. You can't hurl such accusations without proof. Do you understand the gravity of what you're saying?"

Alex's expression darkened as he turned his gaze to Lemiel and Licht, who stood silently amidst the tension.

"The proof is standing right here," Alex declared, gesturing towards them. "Let's hear it from the ones who lived through it."

A stunned silence fell over the crowd as all eyes shifted to the First Magic Emperor. The air seemed to grow heavier as even the spectators, who had been mere onlookers, leaned forward, eager to hear the truth.

Licht stepped forward, his expression conflicted, as if wanting to ease the brewing storm. But before he could speak, Lemiel placed a firm hand on his shoulder, giving him an assuring nod. The First Magic Emperor then turned his solemn gaze towards the young knights, his voice calm yet imbued with authority.

"I don't know how this young knight has come to know of these events," Lemiel began, his voice carrying a weight that silenced even the whispers in the crowd. "But what he has said is indeed the truth."

The murmurs that erupted were silenced with a single glance from Lemiel, who continued, his tone unwavering.

"The devil manipulated humanity, particularly the royals, into attacking the Elves. But the sad truth remains—the humans, led by their greed and fear, carried out the massacre. They stole the mana of the Elves and justified their heinous actions under the pretext of survival and superiority. Every last one of the Elves perished... and I..." Lemiel's voice wavered momentarily before he steadied himself. "Even though the devil orchestrated this, it is undeniable that humanity willingly became his pawns."

The revelation landed like a hammer, shattering the fragile pride of the royals present. Nozel, Noelle, Fuegoleon, and others stood frozen, their faces pale as if the ground had been ripped out from under them.

Disgrace.

That was the only word that came to mind.

These knights, who had once walked with their heads held high, boasting of their noble bloodlines, now found themselves confronted with the darkness of their heritage.

Fuegoleon clenched his fists so tightly that his knuckles turned white, while Nozel looked as though he might faint from the shame that twisted his features.

Lemiel, sensing the despair taking hold of his descendants, raised his voice, the mana within it resonating like a clarion call. "But even amidst such darkness, I believe we can forge a path of harmony—between royals and commoners, and between humans and Elves alike! The mana you possess is a gift, not for oppression but for protection. That is the true duty of a Magic Knight!"

His words struck like a bolt of lightning, lifting the spirits of the magic knights who had been teetering on the edge of despair. Determination flickered in their eyes as they looked upon the legendary First Magic Emperor, their resolve reignited.

Alex chuckled softly, his tone laced with sarcasm as he clicked his tongue. "Tch! How tragic that the First Magic Emperor himself had to rise from the dead just to teach his descendants such a basic lesson."

His gaze swept over the crowd, piercing and unyielding. "True strength doesn't lie in arrogance or blind pride. It lies in the courage to confront your flaws, admit your failures, and strive to become better. Together."

Alex's voice grew heavier, more personal, as he turned to Nozel. "You talk of pride and heritage, but have you ever stopped to consider the pain you've inflicted on Noelle with your words and actions?"

"Asta, enough!" Noelle cried, her voice trembling as tears welled in her eyes. She bit her lip hard, struggling to keep her composure. "Please… stop…"

Alex sighed, his expression softening as he glanced at her. But he turned back to Lemiel, his tone hardening once more. "Tell me, oh great First Magic Emperor—what right do royals have to treat commoners as less than human? What crime have the commoners committed to deserve such disdain? Did they kill your parents? Steal your wealth? What is it that fuels this sickening superiority complex?"

His voice rose, resonating across the kingdom. "You royals forget that it's the commoners who form the backbone of this kingdom. Over seventy percent of the kingdom's wealth comes from their hard-earned taxes, yet you suffocate them with your arrogance. And for what? To pretend you're gods?"

The words echoed across the silent crowd, shaking the very foundation of the Clover Kingdom. Lemiel remained silent, his expression solemn, while Secre, usually quick to defend her prince, chose to remain quiet. The weight of Alex's accusations was undeniable, even to her.

The magic knights, particularly the royals, clenched their fists in shame. Nozel's lips trembled, while Fuegoleon's fiery eyes were cast downward, filled with a rare mix of anger and remorse.

Even the Elves, who had long harbored hatred for humanity, looked on in stunned silence. Patolli, Rhya, Fana, and Vetto exchanged bitter smiles, silently acknowledging the truth they had known all along.

Alex observed the growing silence, a faint smirk playing at the corners of his lips. The seeds of doubt and reflection had been sown. Beneath his calm exterior, Chaos Magic surged faintly, amplifying the weight of his words in the hearts and minds of all who heard them.

Licht glanced at Lemiel, his expression conflicted but trusting. Lemiel, understanding the silent plea, gave a single nod. Both leaders of the past chose to let Alex's words take root, hoping they would bear fruit in the hearts of those present.

As the dust settled, Alex spoke one final time, his voice a quiet storm. "Change begins when we face the ugliness within ourselves. Stop hiding behind the lies of the past. Use your power for what it was meant for—protecting the weak, not crushing them."

With that, he turned away, leaving the crowd to wrestle with their thoughts. The silence that followed was deafening, filled only with the unspoken weight of truths finally brought to light.
