Alex strolled into the grand dining hall of the Silva Castle, his steps unhurried, exuding an air of dominance that could make the most fearless knights tremble. He moved as if the castle were his personal domain, his presence a stark reminder that he had no regard for the customs or the pride of royals and nobles.
To him, they were little more than pompous individuals clinging to diminishing power, and he treated their sanctuaries as casually as a tavern.
Currently, the castle was eerily quiet. Noelle was resting after the grueling training Alex had put her through the previous night.
Nozel and Solid were absent, occupied with urgent matters concerning the Silva family's standing and their duties in maintaining the kingdom's fragile peace. Only Nebra remained in the castle, seated quietly in the dining hall.
When Alex's figure entered the room, Nebra visibly stiffened, her face paling to the shade of a ghost. Memories of the recent battles against the elves flooded her mind—of her own pitiful performance and of Alex's monstrous strength, which had effortlessly subdued not only the elves but also the devil itself. His power was a nightmare made flesh, and the recollection of his cold, dismissive treatment of her in the past made her feel unbearably small.
Her eyes darted to the floor, her hands gripping the hem of her dress tightly. She lowered her head submissively, wishing she could disappear altogether. She dared not meet his gaze, her breath shallow and uneven.
Alex halted in his stride, his sharp eyes immediately catching her trembling form. A devilish grin curled on his lips, the kind that promised torment and amusement at someone else's expense. He signaled for a maid to fetch him food, his voice commanding and curt, before turning his full attention to Nebra.
"Is your wound healing properly?" His tone was deceptively calm, yet it carried an edge that made her feel as though a predator was circling her.
"Uhh... I..." Nebra stammered, her throat dry, her mind a whirl of panic. She hadn't expected him to acknowledge her presence, let alone address her directly. She was so flustered that her words caught in her throat, her gaze still glued to the floor.
Alex let out a sharp snort, his expression darkening with mockery. "What's the matter? Cat got your tongue? Or did you manage to knock your brain loose during the fight? Truly pathetic."
He sneered, his voice cold enough to send a chill down her spine. "What use does your family even have for someone as utterly worthless as you?"
The scathing words pierced her like daggers. Nebra's lips quivered, and tears welled up in her eyes. She bit her lip, trying to suppress the overwhelming urge to cry, but her composure was already crumbling under his gaze.
"I-I…" she stuttered, her voice barely a whisper, her face burning with shame.
Alex leaned forward slightly, his towering frame casting a shadow over her. His smirk widened, his eyes gleaming with cruel amusement as he observed her pitiful state.
"You can't even speak properly. Disgraceful," He scoffed, his tone dripping with disdain.
Nebra flinched at his words, her fists clenching at her sides, but she remained silent, unable to muster the courage to defend herself. She could only sit there, humiliated, as Alex continued to watch her with a predator's grin, relishing her discomfort like a cat playing with a cornered mouse.
"Heh... What a pitiful sight," Alex said, leaning back in his chair with an air of utter contempt. His sharp, unrelenting gaze bore down on Nebra, whose trembling form was already betraying her fractured composure. "Just look at yourself. You don't have a single redeeming quality. Aside from the surname Silva, is there anything remotely worth mentioning about you? You couldn't even hold your ground against a single elf—you got your sorry ass handed to you instead. What a piece of trash."
A cruel grin tugged at his lips, his words cutting into her pride like a blade.
Boom!
It was as if his words had ignited an explosion within her. Nebra's face turned ashen, her body rigid from the impact of his scorn. She had grown up accustomed to adoration and flattery, her world filled with sycophants who praised her simply for existing. This was the first time anyone had dared to strip her bare with such brutal, unforgiving insults.
"I—" She tried to speak, her voice faltering as she sought to defend herself.
But Alex's eyes narrowed, and he tilted his head slightly, his tone like ice. "Did I say you could speak?"
!!!
Nebra's lips snapped shut, her head bowing lower as a wave of shame washed over her. The room felt suffocating as Alex's voice continued, each word slicing through her self-esteem like a whip.
"You're so utterly unappealing that even looking at you kills all my emotions," Alex sneered, his tone laced with venom. "You're neither strong and untamed like Mereoleona, nor sweet and alluring like Mimosa, and certainly not cute or beautiful like Noelle. Are you even sure you belong to the Silva family? You're nothing but a stain on their name, an embarrassment of a royal. What a useless woman."
Boom!
Another verbal blow struck her, shattering whatever remained of her confidence. Tears pooled in her eyes, spilling over as silent sobs wracked her frame. The maids standing nearby exchanged uneasy glances, their faces pale with fear.
One by one, they began slipping out of the hall, terrified of Alex's domineering aura and unwilling to risk incurring his wrath.
"..." Nebra bit her lower lip hard, trying to hold back her cries, but it was futile. She was breaking apart under the relentless assault of his words.
Alex, unmoved by her tears, leaned forward slightly, his voice growing even more cutting. "You're twenty-four, aren't you? Nearly a decade older than Mimosa and Noelle. And yet, this is the best you can do? Look at you, sitting there crying like a child. What a complete waste of space."
"T-That's not—" Nebra tried to protest, her voice barely above a whisper.
Bam!
Alex slammed his hand onto the table, the sound reverberating through the hall like a gunshot. Nebra flinched violently, her entire body trembling as she shrank back into her chair. His cold, piercing eyes pinned her in a place like a predator cornering its prey.
"Hey," he said sharply, his voice dripping with disdain. "Didn't I tell you not to speak?"
"I'm sorry," Nebra choked out, her words punctuated by sobs. Her hands gripped the edges of her dress tightly, her knuckles white. "I'm so, so sorry."
Finally, her composure crumbled entirely, and she broke down, her cries filling the now-empty hall. At the end of the day, she was only twenty-four—still young, still fragile beneath the façade of nobility. No one, not even she, could withstand the full force of Alex's unyielding scorn.
Alex leaned back in his chair, his expression as unbothered as ever. To him, her tears were nothing more than a testament to her weakness—a weakness he had no intention of sparing.
"Now, now..." Alex leaned forward slightly, his lips curling into a devilish smirk. His voice dropped to a low, velvety tone that sent shivers down Nebra's spine. "Since I'm such a generous guy, I'm willing to make an exception—even for an irredeemable piece of trash like you. I could take care of you… but only if you become my obedient little pet."
Ba-dum!
The words hit Nebra like a bolt of lightning. Her breath caught in her throat, and her mind spiraled.
'H-He'll take care of me… as his obedient pet?'
The very idea sent her heart racing, the pounding in her chest almost deafening. Her cheeks flushed a deep crimson, her body heating up uncontrollably under his piercing gaze.
"You'd like that, wouldn't you?" Alex's voice was like honey laced with poison, tempting and dangerous. He tilted his head slightly, his ash-blond hair catching the light, his smirk widening as he watched her reaction.
"I… I…" Nebra stammered, her mind a chaotic mess. Her memories of him flashed vividly—every encounter, every insult, every time he crushed her dignity underfoot without a second thought. Alex had never treated her like the royal she was, never bowed to her status or name. He had trampled her pride mercilessly, exposing just how insignificant she truly was.
Yet, somehow, that very humiliation had become intoxicating.
A part of her—a part she didn't fully understand—yearned for the way he dominated her, the way he stripped her bare of all pretense and left her feeling vulnerable and small. Compared to every other man she had met, Alex was different. He wasn't a sycophant or a flatterer. He didn't treat her like something precious to be admired from afar. He treated her like something to be conquered, and that thrilled her in ways she could never admit aloud.
Her heartbeat quickened as her thoughts spiraled further.
Even Julius Novachrono, the Magic Emperor himself, couldn't make me bow like this. But Alex…
Just thinking about submitting to him, kneeling at his feet in front of everyone, sent her instincts into overdrive. Her body shivered as the idea of willingly offering herself to him planted itself firmly in her mind.
"Well?" Alex leaned closer, his sharp eyes boring into hers. "What's it going to be? Do you want it?"
His tone was laced with finality as if daring her to resist when he already knew her answer.
Nebra hesitated for a split second, her thoughts a whirlwind of confusion and desire. Slowly, she raised her head, her gaze locking onto his. The intensity of his expression left her breathless. Her lips parted slightly, but no words came out. Instead, she nodded, the gesture small but decisive.
"Good," Alex said with a satisfied smirk, leaning back in his chair. The way her eyes glimmered with infatuation and submission told him all he needed to know.
She was his now—completely and utterly.
At that moment, Nebra Silva, a proud royal of the Silva family, had surrendered herself to him. Alex knew he had her—mind, body, and soul. He didn't just dominate her; he owned her, and she would willingly serve him without hesitation.
"Then why don't you prove it?" Alex leaned forward, his grin widening into something both menacing and predatory. "Show me just how much of a loyal little bitch you can be."
Nebra's breath hitched at his command. Without a second of hesitation—almost as if her body acted on instinct—she parted her lips and…
"Ruff!"
Her voice came out timid yet obedient. She immediately followed with another, louder bark. "Ruff! Ruff! Ruff!"
Alex's grin widened, his expression brimming with smug satisfaction.
"Good girl," He said, his deep voice dripping with mockery as he reached out to pat her head, his touch firm yet commanding.
The moment his hand made contact, Nebra's heart raced wildly in her chest, her entire body tingling with inexplicable heat. Her cheeks burned red, but she didn't pull away.
Instead, she leaned into his touch, her head gently rubbing against his large hand as a soft, almost purring sound escaped her lips.
Her mind reeled, the humiliation of the situation clashing with an uncontrollable wave of satisfaction.
Why… why does this feel so good?
Nebra couldn't understand herself, but the power he exuded, the dominance in his actions—it was intoxicating.
Alex chuckled darkly, the sound sending a shiver down her spine.
"Look at you," He sneered, his hand tilting her chin upward to meet his gaze. "You're so pathetic… but I suppose even a pathetic bitch has her uses."
Her heart throbbed at his words, and though she knew she should feel ashamed, all she could focus on was the pride gleaming in his sharp eyes as he looked at her.
