Conrad turned to Alex and bowed his head. "Thank you for your offer. But I think your punishment is best for these people. Just promise me that you will never let them go."
"Never!" Alex declared with a serious expression.
Conrad smiled and grabbed the sword before plunging it into his chest. Even though he was dying, a small smile of satisfaction was hanging on his face even after his body lifelessly fell down on the ground.
Alex had nothing against Conrad and even sympathized with the poor fellow but just because of that, he could not let him go since who knew when he might lose his mind and go on a rampage by beginning his plan to destroy the entire Clover Kingdom.
He took a deep breath and looked at the fallen body of the 27th Magic Emperor. He furrowed his brows for a moment, seriously contemplating something before he sighed and commanded.
"Arise!"
Immediately, the hall's light flickered and an intense amount of darkness covered the space.
*Chiiii*
Thick, heavy moans resounded in the hall and the shadow of the fallen Magic Emperor began wiggling as if it was alive.
Soon enough, a black hand rose up Conrad's body. It pressed down on the ground hard, and slowly, the arm attached to it rose up.
The newly-emerged shadow looked exactly like Conrad, wearing the same robes but aside from that the shadow was also draped in armor, especially around its shoulder and weak spots.
Alex had purposely decided to only convert Conrad into a shadow soldier with no memories and his character since it would be a way for problematic if the shadow had Conrad's memories.
Alex then waved his hand and picked up Conrad's body, storing it away carefully. He had decided to actually bury his body beside his wife's grave back in the Clover Kingdom.
Alex was an evil man, there was no doubt about it but he was a good kind of evil.
Finally finishing with Conrad, Alex turned his attention to the Clover Kingdom's national treasure.
The Imperial Sword Elsdocia!
Alex was only able to turn eight out of the 26 Magic Emperors because of the time gap and the lack of mana in the dead bodies but now the problem was solved.
With this sword, he could revive them and then kill them again to turn them into shadow soldiers.
Letting such powerful magicians rot and not turning them into shadow soldiers was a huge loss.
And with Alex's goal to wipe out the devils, he needed more powerful soldiers.
'Status!' Alex sighed and called out his status.

Half a month passed in the blink of an eye and the kingdom finally stabilized. With no intervention from the nobles and royals, the magic knights were able to help all the cities return to the working conditions.
The capital was constructed again back to its original state and everything finally felt like it returned to normal.
Also, in these two months, Alex had also taken his office in the Magic Knights HQ. He was officially appointed as the next Magic Emperor of the Clover Kingdom in the presence of all the citizens of the capital.
It was even broadcasted all over the kingdom so everyone would be a witness to the 29th Magic Emperor of their kingdom.
Aside from that, Julius also took a step forward in his career and accepted the position of the King at least until the young blood would grow and become capable enough to handle the responsibility of the position.
It was not just a simple event since even one of the Five Spirit Guardians of the Heart Kingdom bore witness to everything with his own eyes.
Smurik was a tall man with shaggy grey hair and a ponytail. He also had a small mustache and goatee. He might not look like it but he was pretty strong as he could skillfully wield the natural mana and used his Wind Magic to its limit.
He was sent as an escort to Prince Lokya, Lolopechka's son.
Even though Alex had alright informed everyone but everyone's jaw dropped during Alex's crowned ceremony for the Magic Emperor when the young prince publicly addressed Alex as his father.
Alex's son was only two years old but he was very talented, maybe even more than Yuno as he could use his magic to levitate himself in the air.
Lokya might have inherited his looks from her mother but the talent for Magic he had gained from his father's genes as he had already shown a pretty strong affinity for Magic.
Lokya had inherited some of Alex's Chaos Magic but he seemed more proficient in Space Magic...
He stayed with Alex in his private mansion where Alex took away the Chaos Magic from his son, fearing that it might go out of control in the child's hand.
Chaos Magic was even not that easy for Alex to control who had Anti-Magic to keep it in check so this chaotic force of nature could harm his son and he didn't want it.
To make up for the gap, Alex passed Wind Magic and Space Magic that he had snatched from the magicians that he had fought against in his life.
With his natural talent and special genes, Lokya would definitely reach the Transcendent level in the future.
Alex also let Smurik teach Yuno about Heart Kingdom's Natural Magic which the latter grasped in just twenty days, proving again that he was a talent not seen in hundreds of years.
Yuno combined with True Magic and Spirit Magic could easily deal with Zagred alone.
When Smurik left with Lokya, Alex promises his son that he will pay a visit to him soon. He then told Smurik to increase the security for Lokya and Lolopechka and also kept a close eye on the movement of the Spade Kingdom.
Smurik took his words to heart and promised to take action on it as soon as he returned to the Kingdom.
