Chaos Stone

It was hard for Arisa to narrate what happened yesterday to the principal, but she had to. She gulped, trying to swallow her pride as she pleaded.

"Please, I know I am going to be in a pretty difficult situation soon. And my father is not going to let me off the hook…"

The principal was silent, waiting for her to continue. She would be lying if she said that Arisa's actions were unnoticed by her. The princess came only recently, and yet, she stirred a considerable amount of chaos underneath the surface.

"Listen, I know I've done a lot that could chain me down. But it was all for a reason. And I cannot disclose it."

"That's ridiculous," the principal sipped from her tea, "You are asking for my help, yet have the audacity to not tell me why?"

But how could Arisa tell her?

The princess joined the Academy and started to recruit her own people here. Her people were either greatly loyal to her, or were even forced to take an oath about that.

Those kinds of oaths were, in a sense, illegal. Only the Emperor and the crowned Imperial Heir could do them.

Arisa was held by her sore spot when her father sent a message to her, telling her he knew about her simple illegal 'tricks'.

And pretty early in the morning, Kristin's body was sent back to the Imperial Palace. The Emperor thought she was the culprit, again, and sent her another threat before falling unconscious from rage.

The threat that was written over the exiled prince's was as such,

[Whenever you think back of revenge, remember that the son you threw away is nothing but a dog that dared to attack its rightful master. One dog is down, and if you send the other dogs, they all are going to meet the same demise.]

When the Emperor read that, the result was him fainting. His blood pressure most likely had skyrocketed that he was unable to even stand on his two legs.

'And why must this be my fault?'

Nothing was her fault in that, so why did she have to be blamed and almost punished for it? She may lose everything, and she could not tell this to the principal because those matters concern the Imperial Family.

"I know," she finally retorted.

"But let's make a deal, how about that?"

"What makes you think that you have something that interests me?"

Arisa fumbled a bit, then she reluctantly pulled something from her pocket. It was a purple mana stone, adorned by a rose-gold frame, alongside a few small diamonds.

"And this is?"

"It's a Chaos Stone."

The principal's eyes lit up. Arisa was quick to note that. She felt a bit relieved and relaxed already.

"This was found in a special place, and discreetly hoarded by the Imperial Family. However, it is quite scarce. I can only give you this, and for the rest, I'll give you information about it?"

Chaos Stones were something the princess was unfamiliar with. Her knowledge about it was close to nothing, she only knew it was something very significant.

The principal's reaction was the evidence.

Without saying any words, the principal put her cup down and took the stone from Arisa. After a few seconds of examining it, she nodded.

"Fine, this seems like a worthy deal. Now, your only condition is for me to make sure no one will force you out of the Academy, am I correct?"

"Yes…"

Letting out a heavy sigh of relief, the princess slumped back into the couch. Finally, she could at least be sure of her safety here.

If she was forced out of the Academy, not only will she be unable to investigate anything, she will also be forced to stop fighting for the Heir's Title.

'And I cannot allow that. For me, for this Empire, I know I cannot.'

Allowing her siblings to take over the Empire meant leading it to its inevitable demise.

"Alright, you are free to go. You are going to provide more information about this for me soon, got it? You are free to leave now."

The principal soon dismissed Arisa and let her go to rest after her difficult night. Meanwhile, she stored the stone carefully away from any prying eyes.

"This stone is going to be for Alastor very soon, the Chaos Heir is going to be revived if I could gather enough of these…"

Perhaps it was only her wishful thinking, but the principal believed that her fantasy eventually was going to come to fruition.

When she thinks about it, her fantasy was akin to the world's destruction, however, did she care? No, she did not. She only wanted that image to be repeated. One day.

'You will be him, Alastor.'
