The End (pt.4)

Alastor hugged the little girl closer and took a deep breath. The past must have been painful if this girl just wanted to live and nothing else. As he forgot that, Alastor could not help but be guilty.

He looked at the little girl before shaking the guilt away. He could always dwell on that later, once he was alone.

"You will live. That much I promise. But my life may not be so easy anymore. Do you prefer to have me find someone who will adopt you?"

Zefe looked at him with a deadpan before shrugging her shoulders. At this point, she did not know how much Alastor remembered or forgot, but it seemed like he underestimated her.

"I lived in hell, Al. Just because you don't remember doesn't mean everything has changed," saying that, she took off her outer dress, exposing her arms and legs.

Alastor fell silent once he saw them.
