Chapter 10 Part 2: The Trial Begins

I entered the Hall of Trails in chains, Uncle was in front of me and I was surrounded by five guards. As I entered the Hall I saw Louisa standing in a box with wooden bars.

Max (whispers): psst... Hey uncle, this is my first time in court, what should I do?

Ayame (whispers back): Just try not to make a scene.

Max

As I was talking to my uncle a guard yelled ' The council has arrived'; there I saw three of the four great emperors. Their auras were truly menacing at least a trillion times stronger than of anyone I had ever faced before, this was the power of an emperor rank, it was truly fascinating. Three of the most powerful beings in the world.

Edward Tenshi, Holy Priest of the Tenshi Empire;

Valerina Van Liboria, Ice empress of the Liborian Empire;

Vladimir Van Vamporia, Flaming Blood Demon of the Demonic Empire.

They all sat at the jury box and the trial began. I was shocked to see the offense being Azra; everyone was at the trial yet I felt strange, as Azra was about to begin he looked and smiled at me.

There was something mysterious about him, this was not the normal clumsy Azra I knew, this was a completely different person, his glare pierced right at me, and as the trail proceeded I took the liberty of using vision enhancement to find out what was going on, I had found Suki at the duke's ruins, this one was an imposter; did nobody notice or did nobody care? I couldn't wait long so I used the only possible option to escape.

Vladmir Van Vamporia

If he really was an Oritsu, he would have already detected the imposter, what would he do now; as I was wondering the boy suddenly fainted and was to be rushed to the infirmary. This surprised me, without creating a huge scene he chose a more silent approach. After exactly three minutes a guard entered with the news that the child had escaped, I could see a sign of relief on Ayame's face but he still had to catch the culprit and I needed to know more about this child.

After escaping from the guards I quickly rushed to the underground ruins, there I saw Suki being tied to a chair by Azra, below was a magic circle painted.

Azra: Well, you're a bit early.

Max (asks in a demanding tone): What's the meaning of this?

Azra: Well Maximus, this, this is my revenge. Your clan was the reason my mother died, she was cursed by those monsters, which eventually led to her death; but now I'm going to revive her and nothing can stop me.

Max: Sorry bud, can't let you do that; it looks like I have to stop you.

Azra (grinning): This is going to be fun.

Azra jumped at me with his sword while I tried to dodge it, his speed was great, as expected from an elf but, I managed to hit him with some special combos (I was exceptional at martial arts) and managed to gain the upper hand but was quickly tackled by him I tried to get back up and free Suki but he wouldn't let me go.

Azra ( Irritated): I DON'T GET IT! Why are you trying so hard to free a commoner?

Max (desperate): Because this commoner, is my friend.

Just then the Duke arrives with Sebastian and a handful of soldiers.

Azra (angered): YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO LIVE, YOU DESERVE TO DIE, YOU ARE NOTHING BUT A KILLER WHO MURDERED HIS OWN FAMILY.

Ayame (panicked): Azra, noo.

Max (confused): What do you mean?

Azra (grins): The elven amnesia technique really does work, you see Maximus, you are responsible for the death of your parents.

Max

His words sounded true, I was suddenly overflown with memories, I was the one who killed them it was my fault; I was then enraged, to live in this world you have to be strong, there are no options, I will never again be weak. I could feel my mana riling up again and now I was even more powerful than ever, powerful enough to summon the sword of Satan, I had now harnessed his power.

Azra

What had happened to him, he was now like a completely different person.

Max: Now witness the power of Satan; Barrier technique: Hellfire.

Azra: (As soon as he cast this spell I was no longer in the mansion) Maximus, what is this place?

Max: Don't worry, this won't hurt much.

Azra

As soon as he said those words I felt a sharp pain all over my body, all my vital spots had been cut without any severe injuries, I couldn't believe my eyes, Max was right in front of me, it could only mean one thing, he had achieved lightspeed.

After all the mess Azra was exiled to the Liborian empire; Louisa and Max were also to be exiled, never to return to Conmoditas again; the scene starts now when they both are just about to leave.

Louisa (frowning): Ahh! I can't believe I'm a commoner now; so, where are we going?

Max: I have no idea.

Louisa (frowns again): Are we just gonna roam around like beggars?

Max: Gimme a break will you, I'll tell you where we are going on the way.

As soon as they were about to leave the gates, Max was stopped by a familiar voice

Suki: Maaaxxx, wait up. ... I made something for you (blushes).

Max: Oh, a ring, I'll treasure it always; this is for you. Keep it safe, someone very dear to me gave it and told me to give it to a special person, I didn't understand it then but I know now.

Suki (smiles then begins tearing up): d..d..do you really have to go, please stay, I'll miss you.

Max (smiles and wipes off her tears): Whenever you miss me, take a look at the ring I gave you; I won't be there to protect you but know that I will never forget you.

And so, Max exits the Capital of Conmoditas

Louisa: C'mon lover boy, let's go.

Max (irritated): Yeah yeah.

Louisa: So, where to?

Max: The demonic empire.

Louisa (grins) : Then let's start.
