Chapter 2: Farewell

Maximus: chuckles "Come on, Mira, rise and shine! The sun is up, the birds are singing, and we've got a whole day of adventure ahead of us!"

Mira (grumbles, still half-asleep): "Adventure can wait... just five more minutes, please..."

Adrien (gently nudges her): "Mira, you know we can't afford to be late. Vladmir will have our heads if we miss training."

Mira (mumbling into her pillow): "Fine, fine... but don't blame me if I fall asleep during sword practice."

Maximus (grins mischievously): "Oh, I wouldn't dream of blaming you, Mira. But I might have to resort to drastic measures to wake you up!"

Mira (raises an eyebrow suspiciously): "And what exactly do you mean by that, Max?"

Maximus (conjures a small orb of water with a flick of his wrist): "Just a little wake-up call, courtesy of yours truly!"

Mira (eyes widen in realization): "Wait, Max, don't you dare—"

Maximus sends the jet of water towards Mira, soaking her completely

Mira (jolts awake, propelled to the other side of the room): "What in the world?! Max, you—"

Maximus (bursts into laughter): "I couldn't resist, Mira! You should've seen the look on your face!"

Mira (furious): "You're impossible, Maximus!"

Adrien (trying to stifle his laughter): "Well, at least you're awake now, Mira. Ready to face the day?"

Mira (sighs in resignation): "Fine, fine... let's just get this over with."

As the trio prepared for their training session, a servant entered the room carrying Maximus's luggage. "Your belongings are packed, Master Maximus," he announced quietly. "The teleportation circle is ready whenever you are."

Maximus's heart sank as he realized that today was the day of his departure. Despite his efforts to maintain a cheerful facade, a shadow of sadness crossed his features.

With a forced grin, he turned to Mira and Adrien. "Well, looks like it's time for me to leave," he joked, though his tone held a hint of melancholy. "But don't worry, I'll be back before you know it. And when I return, get ready to lose to me in a duel."

Adrien chuckled, though there was a touch of sadness in his eyes. "You wish, Max. I'll be waiting for your return."

Mira nodded in agreement, determination shining in her gaze. "You better believe it, Max. I'll be training twice as hard while you're away. You won't stand a chance against me next time!"

Maximus's smile widened at their playful banter, grateful for their unwavering support. With a final glance at his friends, he made his way to his grandfather's chambers, a mixture of apprehension and determination coursing through him.

Calling his grandfather "Gramps" one last time, Maximus braced himself for the stern farewell he knew was coming. But to his surprise, Lord Alistair's expression softened ever so slightly as he bestowed his blessing upon his grandson.

With a heavy heart, Maximus left the comfort of his home behind, ready to embark on the next chapter of his journey. As he stepped into the teleportation circle, he couldn't help but wonder what adventures awaited him in the mystical lands of Arvadia.

As Maximus stepped into the teleportation circle, a rush of energy enveloped him, transporting him to the foothold of a massive snowy mountain. Despite the chill in the air and the daunting sight before him, Maximus couldn't help but crack a joke to himself.

"Well, this isn't exactly the warm welcome I was expecting," he quipped, a wry grin on his face as he surveyed the towering peak ahead.

With determination in his heart and a hint of excitement in his step, Maximus began his ascent, each footfall crunching in the freshly fallen snow. The journey ahead promised to be challenging, but Maximus was undeterred. With every step, he grew closer to the unknown adventures that awaited him in the mystical lands of Arvadia.

As Maximus reached the summit of the towering mountain, a sense of accomplishment washed over him. From this vantage point, he beheld the sprawling expanse of the majestic empire of Arvadia, once home to mighty dragons and mythical beasts.

Eager to begin his journey in this legendary land, Maximus descended to the nearest kingdom, known as Frostvale. The quaint streets bustled with activity as he made his way to a local shop to purchase attire befitting the region's climate.

Inside the shop, Maximus engaged in conversation with a young salesman, whose eyes widened in surprise as he took in Maximus's long hair and delicate features. "Welcome, traveler," the salesman greeted, his voice tinged with curiosity. "You're not from around here, are you? You've got quite an unusual look for these parts."

Maximus chuckled, brushing a stray lock of hair from his eyes. "No, I'm not," he admitted with a grin. "I've just arrived in Arvadia, eager to explore its wonders. Could you point me in the direction of the local school? I've heard it's quite renowned."

The salesman nodded, eager to assist. "Ah, yes, the Avalon Academy," he replied, gesturing in the direction of the towering spires that loomed in the distance. "You'll find it just beyond the city gates, nestled amidst the grandeur of Frostvale. It's hard to miss."

Thanking the salesman for his help, Maximus selected a set of warm clothing suited for the chilly climate of Arvadia before setting off towards the Avalon Academy, excitement bubbling within him at the prospect of new adventures and discoveries awaiting him in this mystical realm.
