It was all over for Max, he was severely beaten, covered in bumps and bruises; Avery towered over him, her sword at his neck as he was put in place, chained to the ground. She closed her eyes as a tear trickled down her eyes, she mumbled "I'm sorry" her breath shaking as she raised her sword…
It was just like any other day; Max had got up with Avery next to him. He pats and ruffles her hair with a smile on his face, waking her up.
"You're a sight for sore eyes, especially during the day," Max said with a smile as he continued to ruffle up her hair. "I'm in no mood for your antics today," said Avery as she pushed his hand aside and stretched "Study's been a pain in the ass, especially Ms. Elara's class," Avery added. "Are you sure study is the only thing that's been a pain in the ass?" said Max with a smug look on his face.
To this he was attacked by a pillow swung right to his face, it didn't stop there, as a flustered Avery continued hitting Max with a pillow until he falls from the bed, taking Avery with him.
Max held Avery, her body pressing against his. "You know what gonna happen now, don't you?" asked Max with a smirk, "No, please, we just got out of bed, W-What if someone sees." Said Avery, fearing the inevitable.
"NO, NO… Please stop, I give up, I give up" said Avery as Max assaulted her. "Should've thought that before I held you" said an amused Max as he tickled Avery. She laughed as Max ran his fingers around her hips, as she opened her eyes, she saw Max's lively red eyes, his once long mane that she had cut for him. As Max had finally stopped, she smiled upon seeing a changed man, seizing the moment, she grabbed his collar and pulled him in for a passionate kiss.
"W-Well g-go on, get cooking before we get late," said a flustered Avery, avoiding eye contact with Max and rushing off to the restroom. "Well… that was painful to watch," said Pip from the bed above them, "How long have you been up" inquired Max "And where were you all night" he added.
"I was out with my friends," said the moody teen as he walked out of the room.
It's hard to believe that the kid who wouldn't leave Max alone for a minute, would barely even be seen with him now. Max ignored this fact and went back to his cooking, as Avery came out of the shower, the couple finally sat down and had their breakfast. They then shared a quick goodbye kiss before finally separating to their respective classes.
Yes. The students who did not meet the attendance requirement had special classes to prevent any backlog, and these classes were taken by the one and only… Ms. Elara. As she taught the classes, she noticed Max paying no heed to the class.
"Listen, young man, you will surely fail if you don't pay attention," says Ms. Elara after she throws a chalk at Max but misses miserably as he dodges it. "I assure you madam, nothing of that sort will happen," Max says with undeterred confidence "after all, I am Maximus" he adds with a smirk on his face.
Irritated by this, Ms. Elara kicks him out of the remedial classes also. Max was now sitting at the principal's office.
"You have to stop pissing of your teachers, Max" the principal said with a sigh "It's not my fault she gets angry at every single thing I do" replied Max "Well, that is true" said the principal "there's no point in keeping you here with me, so you may leave" he added with a nonchalant look on his face.
Max leaves the principal and plans to go straight to go straight to uncle Joe's. As he opens the door in a rush, he accidentally bumps headfirst into Sir Ronald's shiny golden chestplate.
"Hold on, boy!! What's the rush" exclaims Sir Ronald, "Sorry sir, gotta run" says Max as he rushes past the golden knight. "He's just like you Aldric" the golden knight said with a chuckle, "You will address me only as Sir. Why are you here" the principal spoke with a strict, husky voice. "Maybe not exactly like you" the knight muttered under his breath. "Well then, speak up, I don't have all day." Said the strict principal. "Ah, yes, we've found it" said the knight, completely changing the atmosphere of the room to a more serious one.
"Then what's the rush, let's go" said the principal with a stoic expression on his face. "You sure you don't wanna warm up first?" said the knight; to this the principal opened a portal and walked into it.
The training ground was now occupied by a senior, he stood nonchalantly, his stance fearless, his hair blonde and short with split-ends and a cowlick on the top of his head, his eyes were a lively green colour. As he shot an arrow it hit dead centre. He smirked slightly with pride before he was shot in the head with a rock.
"Did you see that!" exclaimed a fellow classmate to his friends. "Ha! The nerd probably didn't see that one coming" said another classmate as the group of bullies came closer to the archer. "G-guys, please, n-not today" the blonde archer muttered under his breath.
"Huh! What was that?" said another one of his bullies in a harsh husky voice sending shivers into the archer's spine. The bullies circled their blonde classmate, making fun of his personality and messing up his hair. He endured it with his eyes closed, not uttering a word as his body shrunk in fear.
"Hey guys!!" said a man with black hair at a distance, attracting the bullies' attention. "Well well well, if it isn't our favourite junior Max" said one of them as Max approached. "Guys… I need your help" said Max in between breaths. "What happened" said a concerned senior "did you get into a fight with those third-years' again" asked another with a concerned tone.
"Ha, you wish, it's final exams actually, I need your help" answered Max, he then tells everything to his concerned seniors. "Well you already know there isn't much filled in our heads" said one of his seniors as he knocked his head. "Ya, what you really need, is a nerd" added the other. "Speaking of which" said another smirkingly as he caressed the stubble on his chin. Yo blondie, get your ass here" he called.
The bullies kept Max to one corner and circled the archer once again. The blonde got in his usual defensive position, protecting his head with his arms. "Hey chill, we ain't gonna hurt ya" said one, "Ya we just wanna ask for a favor" added the other. "Ya know, for old times' sake." added another with a smirk on his face.
