CHAPTER THIRTY TWO: CONCLUSION OR ARGUMENT (2)

"Hey guys!" Vanessa barged in interrupting us almost immediately

I froze and I can notice the others freeze as well

"Who are you guys talking about that made you guys almost shout at each other?" Vanessa asked as she looked at us one after the other

"We were just talking about a classmate that made the teacher annoyed" Morayo answered her immediately

I was actually expecting one of us to tell her the truth because, having her in our friendship group will just lead to misunderstanding between ourselves

"Let's go, I heard that the senior prefect had already opened our hostel" Vanessa said 

"Oh, let's go then" Victoria said sounding oblivious as she picked up her bag before leaving with us

I should better let the question off my shoulder once and for all

"Do you know John?" I asked Vanessa as I turned to face her and then focused on where I am going

"Nah"

"I was just curious because, John didn't act like that to me when I first spoke to him"

"Maybe we had met before, maybe we hadn't" she answered with a shrug

Gosh, what is with this girl? What is that supposed to mean now?

I turned to face her with a very annoyed expression before changing my expression and focused on where I am going

"You mad ni?" (Are you mad?) A senior shouted at her mate in a very popular Nigerian Pidgin English

"Shey na me you dey talk to like that?" (Is it me that you are to like that?) The other senior responded speaking pidgin

Girls gathered them to watch the argument; we also waited to watch the argument. You can't just pass by an argument where they are speaking pidgin or any native language in Nigeria because; you will surely know that the argument is going to be sweet to watch

"I warn you first time say, you dey pour water on me. The second time I warn you, third time I warn you. Wetin do your ear? Shey you deaf ni? You no know say you dey pour dirty water on me abi" (I warned you the first time telling you that you are pouring water on me, the second time I did, the third I did. What is wrong with your ear? Are you deaf? Don't you know that you are pouring water on me?) The senior said as she came closer bringing her chest closer to her mate in front of her ready for a fight

"I no even know say na you I dey I pour water on, I think say na gutter I dey pour the dirty water on but, gutter and you no difference na. I wonder wetin dey your body that you dey do like one ajebutter" (I didn't even know that I poured water on you, I thought it was gutter I poured water on but, you and gutter there isn't any much difference at all. I wonder what is in your body that you are doing like a rich Jonny just come) the other senior said looking at her mate from head to toe 

"If they born your mama and papa well, call me gutter again" (if they give birth to your parents in a good way, call me gutter again) the senior said as she came even more closer to her opponent

Immediately you hear the attacker calling parents in a heated argument just know that, it is fight that is next

"What are you looking for here, oya leave. I don't want to see any juniors here" a senior said as she sent the juniors away

That is the thing I really hate, when the fight is going well that is when you will see a spoiler that will stop you from watching it till the end

"Last junior to leave this place will cut the grass at the back of the hostel" the senior said

Immediately, all the juniors ran away. No one wants to be the last

I have never cut grass before and I don't want to but, I know I will soon cut grass since I am in this school

"That was a close one" Morayo said as soon as we got into our hostel

"I swear" I said smiling 

We walked to the passage; Vanessa was the first to leave for her room because her room is closer

"That is the first time I am seeing someone argue in this school" I confessed as walked to our room

"Ah, you have missed a lot. There was even one fight that almost led to two seniors killing themselves because of a senior boy. They got suspended for a month" Morayo said 

"To conclude everything, there is no week that a senior will not fight" Victoria said as we entered into our room

I think they had forgotten out discussion earlier, I really want to bring it up because, it hasn't settle in my mind yet

"About what Vanessa answered you with, if it were me I would have insulted her" Morayo said as she brought up the topic

"Should we just tell her straight to her face that we can't be friends instead of all these unnecessary talk behind her back" Victoria said feeling uncomfortable

"I am even ready to tell her that already" I said as I sat on my bed. Victoria and Morayo sat on Victoria's bed

"What about you?" Morayo asked Victoria as she turned to face her

"Me?! I don't actually have a problem with her yet. So, I can't conclude with anything and if you guys want to end the friendship with her, I am okay with that" Victoria said shrugging as she looked at Morayo and me sincerely

"Okay o, if you say so Victoria. I am also against her being with us because it will lead to misunderstanding between ourselves" Morayo said with a serious expression

"That was also what I also wanted to say" I responded
