A Normal Day

Creo Gudfrid woke up to the familiar buzz of his alarm clock, groggily reaching out to silence it. Rubbing his eyes, he sat up in his cramped dorm room, the morning sunlight filtering through the curtains. The room was Spartan, with just the essentials—a bed, a desk cluttered with textbooks and papers, and a small window overlooking the bustling city below.

Dragging himself out of bed, Creo went through his morning routine with practiced efficiency. He hastily dressed in his usual attire—jeans, a faded T-shirt, and sneakers—before grabbing his backpack and heading out the door.

The university campus was already abuzz with activity as Creo made his way to his first class of the day. Students rushed past him, lost in their own thoughts or engaged in animated conversations. Creo felt a pang of loneliness amidst the crowd, a reminder of his status as a newcomer in this bustling city.

Arriving at the engineering building, Creo joined the throng of students making their way to the lecture hall. He found a seat near the back and settled in, pulling out his notebook and pen in preparation for the lecture.

As the professor launched into the day's lesson, Creo found his mind wandering. He struggled to concentrate, his thoughts drifting to his family back in the province and the sacrifices they had made to send him to the city for his education. Despite his best efforts, he couldn't shake the feeling of inadequacy that gnawed at him—a sense that he didn't quite belong in this world of towering skyscrapers and cutting-edge technology.

The lecture dragged on, the minutes ticking by agonizingly slow. Creo stifled a yawn, his eyelids growing heavy with fatigue. Just when he thought he couldn't bear another moment of monotony, something caught his attention—a whisper of movement, a glimmer of light from the corner of his eye.

Turning his head, Creo's gaze fell upon a peculiar sight—a small, unassuming object lying abandoned on the floor beneath the adjacent seat. It was a sleek metallic device, unlike anything he had ever seen before. Intrigued, Creo reached out and picked it up, turning it over in his hands.

As he examined the strange contraption, a surge of excitement coursed through him. There was something undeniably special about this device, something that stirred his curiosity and fired his imagination. With trembling hands, Creo tucked the object into his backpack, his mind buzzing with possibilities.

Little did he know, this chance encounter would set him on a path that would change his life forever.
