Who is the lucky guy?

Nothing important or special came up during the entire dinner. It was more like a real catching up between friends. Marianne stayed in Fil's place as long as she could. However, she couldn't stay over because of her work and Fil's arrangement the next day. 

And just like that, the next day rolled in without conditions. 

It was a lie if Fil said she didn't miss the office and the people she worked with. After all, her reason for working remotely was that she had to get away from certain people. But it was definitely not anyone in the firm. If anything, she sort of missed them, their banter, their brilliance, and their company.

"Ah, goodness." Elise sat blankly in front of her desk. "I thought I was not gonna make it."

"Working up late last night?"

"Yeah," Elise groggily responded to the person talking to her without looking at her. "I have to send this to Fil or else she had to do it herself. She's already away and is swamped with work, so I can't…"
