"Fil? The hell are you doing here?"

Fil pursed her lips and smiled, shrugging at Michael as an answer. The latter furrowed his brows and huffed, peeking his head out and looking from left to right. When he was sure no one was around, he pushed the door wider.

"My head hurts, so make it fast," he said as he stepped aside, watching her walk in. 

Fil stopped in the middle of the receiving area and turned around to face him. She took a deep breath before she spoke in one breath. 

"Three months ago, you told me to run away. You told me to cut them all off in my life and move on. You said all of that right at the moment I caught Marianne committing attempted murder." She huffed. "I took your advice and for a while, things had quieted down until it's not anymore."

Michael folded his arms underneath his chest, looking at her with disinterest. "Your point?"
