Chapter 14 Sword King.

In a land covered by various mountains, a Kingdom stood. It had illusory walls and a castle made in the shape of a giant sword. That was the highlight of the Kingdom of Swords. The reason for it was there King was a master of sword sense and had attached a sword to his soul. So his sword was an extension of his soul and hence he was given the name of Sword King by the people. He eventually hit his limit at the level 11 peak stage and so he came to this secluded land and formed the Kingdom of Swords.

Currently, inside the Sword Caste, the Sword King was training, his eyes were closed, and his hands were at his back. Numerous shards were floating in the air and were moving to defend against attack from his subordinates. Even in his soul form, he had illusory clothes of him as if he were a human king. The dark energy blasts of his subordinates could not go through his defense of shards. He kept on training until his subordinates were out of energy. Once their energy was exhausted the Sword King disappeared from his place and appeared in place of one of the shards.

"Where we trying to attack an illusion until now?" asked Rick. He was one of the subordinates of the Sword King.

"No, I was there sometimes, some other times I was in one of the shards. Normally my enemy would try to avoid the shard after the initial defense. So it's the best place to be to take them by surprise. However, the reason I told you this trick is because there is a flaw. Can you guess what it is?" asked Sword King.

"If the enemy releases a powerful dark blast or a light blast to destroy the defense then you would incur harm," said Rick.

"Correct, this trick would only work with fast people, Someone more powerful would destroy it. Hence I showed it to you so that you all can push me to come up with a better variation," said Sword King.

"But currently strength-wise there is no one stronger than you. Taro is already dead, Snow King is in the early stage, and the light priest looks to be in the intermediate stage."

"Yes, however, What if one of them reaches the peak stage? What if they team up and attack together? What if one of them or their subordinates use all their consciousness to form a big energy blast?" asked Sword King.

"The chances of that happening are low. However, there are chances. I understand, I'm sorry for my ignorance." said Rick.

"Escort the scout in."

An imp-like ghost entered the castle, His presence was very intimidating, and there was an air of arrogance around him. His eyes were devoid of any light. There was a sword struck at the side of his neck.

"The imp greets the Sword King."

"Welcome, little brother. What news do you bring?" asked Sword King.

"The news is not good. Taro was defeated in the battle of Trivia. His army of ghosts now belongs to the human King. Also, there are reports that in the battle the human emperor had ghosts from Frozen Land that were the main reason for the defeat of Taro. However, I investigated further and found that the blessed land of Oden is now a land of the dead. The humans there sacrificed themselves and turned into ghosts to take revenge. So most likely the human tricked Taro into believing that he collaborated with Snow King." said Imp.

"Good work, What happened to Taro? , And What is Frozen Land doing?" asked Sword King.

"Things are very tricky. Taro ran away from the battlefield, no one from the human side tried to capture him. He crossed the boundary and entered frozen land. Once he entered the frozen castle there was no news of his." said Imp.

" His soul might have been consumed. That fool might have not known the power of a frozen castle."

"Also, there is news that frozen land will soon attack the City of Ether," said Imp.

That took Sword King by surprise, he looked at Imp with a curious gaze.

"They are currently getting ready. The reports are mostly that Taro has submitted to Snow King and both of them together would take over the city of Ether," said Imp

"Impossible, Even with Taro that Snow King would never make a move. That too against a human who is so shrewd. He would never take the battle to his territory even if he hits Level 12 of dark affinity." said Sword King.

"But they are making preparations. The information is accurate," said Imp.

The Sword King thought for a while and said "Imagine, you are the weakest and you wish to conquer the whole land. What would you do?"

"I would try to increase my strength however if the gap is too wide I would ally first with weak to take down the strong." It hit imp.

"You mean to say that the Snow King and human King are in alliance?" asked Rick.

"I'm not certain but there is a possibility because the Snow King is too cautious and also too much of a coward. He would never charge in a battle where there is even 1% of uncertainty. From what I see I think the human and Snow King allied. The Human king pretended to attack Frozen Land and lured Taro then when he appeared he ambushed his troops with a number advantage over troops from Frozen Land. He made Taro escape to frozen so his affinity could be absorbed by Snow King and he kept his army. He destroyed the blessed land to make us think that the ghosts in his army were just trying to deceive Taro to make us believe that there is no alliance. And the final step they leaked information that Snow King would attack the human King. To make us drop our guard."

"If this is real then we would face an attack from three armies and Two ranks 11 warriors," said Imp.

"There is only a 50% chance but we cannot risk it. Start the preparations and also make sure that the spies from other Kingdom do not know about it," said Sword King.
