Alice stared hard at the price tag of her dream dress and concluded that she no longer liked it. How could something cost more than her life savings?!
"Well I don't think I want it anymore." She chuckled awkwardly and ran out of the store before she could be tempted by the endless array of dresses.
She sighed in frustration once she was outside. This was like the hundredth store that she had comes across today. It was either nothing properly fit the occasion or if it did, the price reminded her that she was now— jobless.
What could she possibly do to earn money in one day?
She couldn't ask her parents for money because— she squandered her allowance for the month on things she couldn't even remember. But it wasn't her fault—she was just a girl.
"Alice? Alice!"
