My overprotective sister?

Alex walked into his office, went through some documents that were scattered on the table. He kept his cup of double espresso on the side and started to filter his files. A knock interrupted him.

“Good morning.” Mr. Velvac walked inside. “At what time does the plane lands?”

“Good morning, old man.” He shrugged. “ Thanks for reminding me that a huge drama is preparing for tonight.”

“Still denying taking responsibilities I see.” He walked to the table, watching his grandson assembling the papers. He looked exhausted. He knows that when it comes to that topic, he would always act as an escapist. And maybe if his late wife hadn’t made that promise, everything would have been alright. Alex would still be that cheerful boy he was back then. Every time he thought that everything is falling into its place, the more entangled he gets.
