Jason Has a Crush… Is It Me?

After everything with Jenna, I needed some air. My mind was still spinning from the audition results, from the tension, from—everything. So, like always, I found myself in the garden.

Jason was already there, sitting on the bench with his sketchpad balanced on his knee, his pencil moving in smooth, effortless strokes. He looked up as I approached, giving me a small, knowing smile.

“Rough day?” he asked.

I sighed, flopping down beside him. “You have no idea.”

“Try me.”

And so, I told him everything. The audition, the role, Jenna’s breakdown, and how I still couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that I actually got the lead. He listened quietly, occasionally nodding or making those little hums that let me know he was really paying attention. That was one of the things I loved about Jason—he actually listened.

So, let me get this straight," Jason said, glancing up from his sketchpad. "You got the lead role, which is amazing, but now you feel guilty because Jenna’s upset?"
