The room was in chaos.
Voices rang out, shouting Xavier’s name as he and Jason gripped each other’s collars. Their eyes burned with rage, their muscles tensed, their bodies ready to strike.
“Xavier, let go,” Jason growled.
“Why don’t you let go?” Xavier shot back, pushing Jason harder.
Then—
A punch.
A gasp from the crowd.
My heart stopped.
Stooooooop!
My scream cut through the chaos as I ran toward them. I pushed Xavier with all the strength I had, sending him stumbling backward.
But I didn’t stop moving.
My heel twisted beneath me, and I tripped.
Before I could catch myself, I fell….straight on top of him.
And then…It happened.
A collective gasp filled the air, as my entire body pressed against his. My body wasn’t the only thing pressed against Xavier.
My lips were too.My lips were on his.
Right there.
In front of everyone.
I froze.
My eyes widened.
My heart stopped.
I was kissing Xavier.
And I wasn’t even pulling away.
