Chapter 14
Damien was surprised to see Jessica; she was coming in his direction with a female doctor. He wonders what Jessica was doing in the hospital.
“What are you doing here?”
The female doctor yelled at Damien; she looked at him disgusted. Damien doesn't want to waste his time on them.
“I'm here to see—”
Jessica cut Damien off.
“Oh, this is what you do; I never knew an arrogant fool like you could be this polite.”
She burst into laughter.
“I know you're here for the cleaning vacancy job.”
The doctor spoke after Jessica.
“Who let you in here? If you want a cleaning job, go downstairs and apply, here is not for people like you.”
She looked at Damien from head to toe. he looks poorly dressed; such a person is not supposed to even enter an elevator, let alone stand in the VIP sector.
Damien was only putting on short trousers and a white shirt. He knows they were looking down on him, but they should mind their words.
Jessica sees this as an opportunity to deal with Damien.
“Laura I don't think he's here for that job; I think he wants to steal something. Can't you see the way he was looking around?”
Laura's nose curled up as she looked at Damien disgusted.
“You better start talking before I call the security.”
Jessica whispers to Laura hears
“This is the bastard I was telling you about.”
upon hearing that Laura's face became more deadly.
Some of the patient family came outside of their room to see what was going on. They all looked at Damien irritated. Most of them agreed he was a thief. They murmured among themselves.
“How did he come this far?”
“How did he even get the VIP pass card?”
Damien doesn't want to create an unnecessary scene, so he decided to speak.
“My mother is receiving treatment here.”
He brought out his VIP pass card.
Laura and Jessica's eyes shook up. How did Damien get a VIP pass card? Laura was disappointed; she wanted to humiliate Damien just like Damien had been humiliating her family.
Jessica had already told her about her encounter with Damien earlier today. She can't believe such shameless people still exist; he is definitely guilty of the crime of drugging and raping someone.
Damien was about to walk away when Laura stopped him.
“Stop!! Let me see your pass card.”
Laura wasn't convinced Damien could afford something this expensive according to Jessica, he is poor; he can't even buy a cigarette.
She walked up to Damien and collected the pass card from her to check. Her eyes opened slowly; she knew something was suspicious about Damien. She smiled at Jessica.
“You low-life thief, you think you can deceive us.”
Her face was deadly as she looked at Damien.
“You better start talking; this pass card you're holding belongs to the VIP luxurious unit, how did you get it?”
“I know you stole the pass card.”
Jessica covers her mouth in astonishment.
She was excited. Laura finally exposed Damien of stealing, she was still not satisfied, she pretended to cry just to put Damien in more trouble.
“I have always known you were a thief; you successfully raped and got my niece pregnant, now you're here to steal from sick people.”
She covered her face with her hands.
Upon hearing what Jessica said all of the hospital patient families rampage and their words on Damien, some of them brought out their phones to call hospital security, while others plan to move their family away.
“How did he get in here?”
“What if he killed the owner and stole his card?”
Everybody shivered hearing those words; they moved backwards quickly, and somebody added
“Who knows why he's here?”
“He must be here to assassinate somebody.”
Everybody's heart skipped; they screamed at the rest of the nurses around them and kept a good distance from the scene.
Damien realized he stepped out of the elevator too early; he had only been here once, and Director Billy was the one leading the way. He didn't take notice of anything; he needs to clear up the misunderstanding.
“This is just a little misunderstanding I–”
Laura cut Damien off.
“You worthless thief, you think you can deceive us; we all know you can't afford the VIP luxurious unit. You better start talking before the security get here.”
Jessica utters after Laura
“Somebody that can't even afford to feed himself; he talks about his mom receiving treatment here; you're a thief, a criminal; thank goodness we caught him on time.”
Damien was beginning to lose his cool; he couldn't stand to watch Jessica and her friend make a fool of him.
“My mom is receiving treatment in the VIP luxurious unit; follow me if you don't believe me.”
Laura's face scrunched; she can't believe this fool wants to use a trick to run away. How shameless is he?
“You think this is a joke. Do you think everybody here is dumb? You're trying to escape. Nice try, but the security is already here.”
Jessica was smiling brightly. Damien will been taken care of, and it will be done easily. She wasn't too happy though. Megan will finally be free. It will be better if she is tied down with this pauper.
The security men entered the scene, and they bounced to Damien immediately.
“How did you get this VIP luxurious unit pass card. ”
One of the security men roars.
“I'm the owner of the card . My mom is—”
Another security man cut Damien short.
“Don't play smart with us; looking at you alone, we know you can't afford the VIP luxurious unit. You better be truthful, or we will force the truth out with our fist.”
Damien was done with this madness; imagine a security team insulting him, the owner of the hospital.
How dare this moron? And they refuse to let him speak. Damien's fist hardens.
“I just told you the pass card is mine; what else do you want me to say?”
His eyes were intense as he continued.
“I see you guys can't do your job properly; I told you the pass card was mine. Your job is to confirm if the pass card truly belongs to me, not to look down on me.”
Damien squeezed his fists harder; he doesn't want to look down on them, but they are morons and deserve punishment.
“I can see you guys are incompetent for the job; I will have to teach you guys how to do your job later.”
Everyone was surprised by Damien's words. Laura couldn't believe he was still able to talk with boldness.
“This is the first time I'm seeing a thief this bold; you think pretending to be serious will buy a way out for you. Think again, moron. You will soon be sorry when the director finds out.”
She was very happy; she knows when the director finds out she caught the thief, her pay will definitely increase.
Some of the security guards step forward.
“Young man, come with us for more questioning.”
“I'm not going anywhere.”
Damien didn't want to follow them, but he was disappointed that the security men looked down on him and made their decision.
One of the men raised his voice.
“Use force on him!”
Director Billy entered the scene. The young master told him about his coming; he waited at the VIP luxurious unit, and he still hasn't arrived. He had the feeling that the master had missed his way. He was heading to the VIP sector when he got the information that an intruder was inside the ward.
He decided to go see for himself.
