After Our Moment

After our steamy moment, I threw on my usual baggy clothes—wait, did I just say "usual"?

Maybe I'm starting to remember things. I hope I remember everything soon… I really want to know the truth.

As I came downstairs, Jiang greeted me with a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.

"Kim, baby... we've decided to throw you a welcome party," she said warmly.

I smiled shyly. "Thank you, Mom," I murmured, blushing, then walked out of the house. I didn't know where I was going—I just let my feet carry me.

At the Sae Family Mansion

I stopped in front of a mansion—not as luxurious as ours, but still beautiful in its own right. I parked the latest Maybach model—our family was the only one in the entire country who had it.

I stepped out, my long brown hair pinned neatly back. Oh, I forgot to mention—I dyed it brown. Light makeup, soft features—I looked composed, even if my mind was a storm.

A butler greeted me at the door.

"Mr. Woo, welcome. Please come in."

I smiled, a light pink tinting my cheeks. I walked in, and then the name left my lips on instinct:

"Yoonah..."

A woman around Jiang's age appeared from the staircase above.

"Kim," she said, smiling down at me.

I didn't recognize her, but something tugged at my chest. I blushed and looked down, unsure.

She came down and embraced me warmly.

"My son, how are you? I've missed you so much."

I fiddled with my hair nervously, returning her embrace in silence.

"You're here to see your cousin?" she asked. I nodded.

"Yoongi!" she called.

A faint voice responded from the back. A moment later, a woman stepped out from the kitchen. I froze.

She looked… like a ghost. Pale, tired, haunted—but familiar.

Without thinking, I ran to her and pulled her into a hug. She stiffened. I held her face gently and looked into her eyes.

"Yoonah..." I whispered again, then hugged her tighter.

She didn't respond.

"Yoonah, please talk to me. What happened to you?" I asked softly.

She flinched, recoiling slightly.

"Don't you remember?" she asked, her voice cracking.

"I... I have amnesia. But I remembered this house," I admitted.

She broke down suddenly.

"Kim... I've missed you. I've missed you like hell."

And then—to my complete shock—she kissed me.

I froze, completely stunned.

"I've wronged you... so much. I did terrible things to you. Can you ever forgive me?" she cried.

I hesitated, then placed my hand on her hair gently.

"Yoonah... I don't remember what you did. But we're family. I can't hold a grudge forever."

"No, Kim," she said, shaking her head. "You're forgiving me because you don't remember. I want you to forgive me when your memories return."

"Even if you killed me," I said, "I'd forgive you before I took my last breath."

She looked stunned.

"Are you... serious?"

Instead of answering, I hugged her again. She clung to me like I was her lifeline.

"Yoonah, if I had hatred in my heart, I wouldn't have remembered your house. I've already forgiven you."

She trembled in my arms.

"I was tormented day and night... they took me to a mental asylum. I lost my mind. I only got out a month ago, but I still can't bear it."

"Then come with me," I said suddenly. "Come home with me."

She flinched.

"N-No... your mom will kill me. No!" she screamed, panicking.

I held her tightly.

"Yoonah... as long as I'm here, no one will hurt you."

The older woman from earlier added quietly,

"Her life was a living hell after what she did to you. Your mother... Jiang... she made sure of that."

"I didn't know..." I said, feeling guilty.

"She deserved it," the woman added.

I turned back to Yoonah.

"As long as I'm here, you're safe," I told her again.

She nodded hesitantly. I took her hand and led her to the car.

Back Home

By the time we returned, the entire party setup was complete.

Already? I thought. I was only gone for an hour.

I held Yoonah's hand and walked inside.

"What is she doing here?" Jiang snapped, her voice cold.

"She's with me," I said calmly.

"Why would you bring her home after everything she's done?" Hyung said, coming down the stairs, his tone angry.

"Hyung, please... let her breathe," I said.

"Baby... what is she doing here?" Tae asked, his voice soft but suspicious.

I could tell he was jealous—even though he was good at hiding it.

"She's with me," I repeated.

He approached and kissed me on the lips gently.

"I trust you."

Yoonah looked at him with teary eyes.

"Taeyang..." she said quietly.

He hummed in acknowledgment.

"I know what I did can't be forgiven... but please, I beg you, forgive me."

He took a breath, then said,

"As long as my boyfriend has forgiven you, so have I. But if you hurt him again..." he trailed off with a sharp look.

I knew he was jealous. Still, I hugged him and kissed his cheek.

"I knew you'd forgive her. And don't worry—I only have eyes for you." I whispered.

He giggled quietly.

Yoonah turned to Jiang.

"Mom..."

Jiang turned away coldly.

"Don't call me that. If I were really your mother, you wouldn't have done what you did."

"Please, Mom..." I tried.

Jiang ignored me and walked away. Hyung followed.

Only Taeyang, Yoonah, and I were left.

"Well... I guess my welcome party is ruined," I sighed.

Tae hugged me from behind.

"I'll always support whatever you do... except cheating." He whispered with a smirk.

I laughed.

"Don't worry. I'm not that kind of person."

I turned to Yoonah.

"Gigi, you remember the guest room you used to take when you stayed over?"

She nodded silently.

"Good. Go get some rest."

Then I took Tae's hand and led him to our room.
