Cracking The Shield

I woke up an hour earlier today. If I'm going to meet this Mika woman, I need to be prepared—extra prepared. She sent me the address last night: a private restaurant tucked away in the upscale part of the city. I know the place well. It's classy, exclusive, and screams high-profile. It's exactly the kind of setting I'd expect for a meeting like this.

The venue will give us the peace and quiet I need to focus, to get inside her head and figure out what she knows—and how she knows it. If she's working for Kattie, then there's a lot more to this story than I initially thought.

As I sip my morning coffee, I can't help but smile. Kattie thinks she's clever, but she's no match for me. And as for Mika… well, we'll see if she's as smart as she pretends to be. By the end of this meeting, I'll know everything—and they won't even see me coming.
