She Calls

Hailey falls asleep in my arms , I whisper out loud for everyone to hear , with a genuine smile on my face , I'm glad I still got it! 

But Lana's sudden aggression shocks the room into silence. Mika raises an eyebrow, Zayn lets out a frustrated sigh, and Candy looks at me with wide eyes. She just got up and snatched the baby , aggressively from my arms!

I can still feel the warmth of little Hailey, but the cold tension Lana is left behind is chilling as she walks away.

Zayn starts to get up, his jaw tight. 

"I'll talk to her." 

He says curtly, but I put a hand on his arm, stopping him.

"No." 

I say softly. 

"Let her cool down. You going after her will only make it worse."

Candy clears her throat, trying to break the tension. 

"Well, that wasn't awkward at all." 

She mutters sarcastically. It earns a small laugh from Mika, but I can't join in. My mind is racing, trying to figure out what just happened.
