I'm sitting in this private room, waiting for Price to arrive, my heart feels heavy, with what I have to do. The plan is clear: I need to act, to deceive her convincingly, even if it means breaking her trust in ways I never wanted to.
The door opens, and there she is—cold, composed, and radiating anger. I've never seen her this furious. She doesn't waste any time.
"So, it's true then."
She says, her voice sharp and venomous.
"You've been sneaking around with Chris behind my back? After everything?"
I feel my stomach churn as I look into her icy eyes. I have to do this. I have to make her believe me. For everyone's sake.
"Price..."
I whisper, letting my voice tremble. I feel tears welling up as I speak.
"I didn't want it to happen. I swear. It wasn't supposed to. I didn't mean to hurt you."
She steps closer, her presence is suddenly suffocating.
"You didn't mean to hurt me?"
She spits, her voice rising.
