Extracurricular Tutoring Classes

Hearing what Might Duy said, Natsuhiko's hand, which was holding the scroll, suddenly froze. He then looked at Duy helplessly.

"Mr. Duy, your method of sharing the Eight Gates technique is a bit too straightforward and crude."

Might Duy was slightly taken aback, then quickly shook his head and responded repeatedly.

"I wouldn't do this with others. But Natsuhiko-sensei, you are special."

"..."

Even though Natsuhiko knew nothing strange in Duy's words, he still couldn't help but shiver. He had unintentionally raised Might Duy's affection level too high. So, was this scroll a reward for high affection? He would have to be careful in the future to avoid accidentally triggering Might Duy's route. (Ni…..)

Seeing Natsuhiko's strange expression, Might Duy thought he was going to refuse and quickly explained:

"Natsuhiko-sensei, please accept it. After seeing your combat power detector and training ideas yesterday, I knew you would figure these out sooner or later and probably even do better. But this technique saves you a bit of time, which is a small effort on my part. Please don't be so polite.

Natsuhiko pondered momentarily, then finally shook his head with a wry smile and accepted it. As Might Duy said, the principle of the Eight Gates was relatively easy for him; the challenge was whether the person training could persevere. After accepting the scroll, Natsuhiko didn't look at it immediately but smiled at Duy.

"Mr. Duy, with this, I owe you a big favor. It doesn't seem right to keep you as an employee."

Duy was stunned.

I give you the Eight Gates, and you want to fire me? Is there any justice left?

Fortunately, Natsuhiko quickly continued:

"So, since you want to promote the Eight Gates, why not join me at the ninja school as a colleague?"

Hearing this, Duy finally breathed a sigh of relief but soon hesitated again.

"You mean to make me a teacher at the ninja school? Can I really do it?"

Natsuhiko couldn't help but laugh:

"The average level of a teacher at the ninja school is only Chunin. Having you as a teacher would actually be underutilizing your talent. And I'm not talking about an ordinary teacher, but a special lecturer we will be establishing next school year."

"Special lecturer?" Duy asked curiously.

"Mr. Duy, you might not know, but our tavern cooperates with the school. We provide additional funding to the school; in return, they train more sealing technique talents for us. This funding, besides supporting the sealing technique courses, will also be used to reform the ninja school. One part of this reform is to hire teachers with various special skills to give lectures to the students, hence came into being the special lecturer role."

Duy nodded repeatedly, now understanding the connection between the tavern and the school, making his work more meaningful. However, he still had some doubts:

"But Natsuhiko-sensei, the ninja school curriculum is already tight. Can they add these courses?"

"Of course," Natsuhiko smiled, "because these courses will be conducted as study groups after school. You should know that the ninja school dismisses students relatively early. This is so that children from ninja clans have time to learn their family secrets. But this isn't fair to children from civilian or civilian ninja families. They can only practice what the school taught repeatedly, or worse, go play due to lack of supervision. The difference between children of different backgrounds gradually widens because of this, apart from natural talent."

Duy recalled his ninja school days, nodding deeply in agreement. He had practised hard by himself after school but fell further behind due to a lack of guidance.

Natsuhiko continued:

"So, just like my sealing jutsu study group, next school year, the ninja school will set up more study groups or tutoring classes, providing paths for students to improve after school. These tutoring classes will include remedial classes for weaker students and advanced classes for top students. The remedial classes will be handled by the school's teachers. The special lecturers' job is to give one or two classes per week to the advanced students after school, sharing training or mission tips. This won't interfere much with their own work and will greatly improve the students' levels. Additionally, it will delegate some of the teaching responsibilities from supervising Jonin to the school, ensuring that talented civilian students don't waste their potential. After all, tree climbing and water walking are not impossible for ninja school students; learning them early can only be beneficial."

At this point, Natsuhiko couldn't help but think of Sasuke from the original story. Despite being from the Uchiha clan, he only learned tree climbing and water walking after graduating, which was pathetic. Moreover, Natsuhiko noticed that current students were always thinking about romance at a young age. This was definitely because they were too idle! As a responsible teacher, he naturally had to prevent early romance by keeping them busy. It's not because he was still single and feeling vengeful.

The tearful Might Duy was moved to tears after hearing about Natsuhiko's tutoring class idea.

"Natsuhiko-sensei, you are so considerate of the students."

Natsuhiko smiled, "It's what I should do as a teacher, it's nothing." Indeed, it was nothing, considering Natsuhiko had even planned their post-graduation employment. Tutoring classes? That was just the beginning. The work-study program could be introduced alongside the tutoring classes, laying the groundwork for future factory operations.

At this moment, Might Duy made up his mind, holding Natsuhiko's hand firmly:

"Natsuhiko-sensei, please let me be a special lecturer! I don't need any pay!"

"You're very welcome, but you still need to be paid," Natsuhiko smiled. "And my foundation plan also needs your assistance, Mr. Duy—no, it should be Duy-sensei."

"Duy-sensei is still too early..." Duy said, scratching the back of his head, a bit embarrassed. But he quickly realised something: "Wait, Natsuhiko-sensei, don't you have a foundation plan? Wouldn't that conflict with what I'm doing?"

"There's no conflict," Natsuhiko explained. "My foundation plan is for all students, to improve their overall quality. Mr. Duy, your task of teaching the Eight Gates is naturally for students specializing in taijutsu. The two will complement each other rather than conflict. More importantly, when you really start teaching the Eight Gates, you won't be able to monitor all the students like you do with Guy. This could lead to accidents from improper training. So, you will need my training suits and meridian scrolls to assist."

After pondering Natsuhiko's words, cold sweat flew down Duy's forehead. Indeed, the key to training the Eight Gates was to keep the training intensely at the body's limit; too little wouldn't be effective, and too much would harm the body. He had taken nearly twenty years to master the balance. Watching over Guy alone was barely manageable, but handling multiple students would be overwhelming. If students got seriously injured because of this, they wouldn't know how to face it. His previous thinking was indeed too naive; Natsuhiko's plan was more thorough.

Feeling relieved, Might Duy was more certain that the ninja school was where he belonged. He even began to envision his future as a passionate teacher, seeing himself and a group of tight-suited students sweating together, running toward the sunset...

But then, something seemed off. Why were all the tights in his vision yellow?
