Special Training

At this moment, in his capsule house, Natsuhiko woke up, stretched lazily, and felt remarkably refreshed.

For the first time in over six months, he had been able to sleep without receiving the memories of the three little ones.

Natsuhiko had almost forgotten that when one sleeps well, they don't remember their dreams upon waking.

However, Natsuhiko could only smile wryly at this.

After all, it wasn't as if he could give up the tremendous help the three little ones brought him just to improve his sleep quality.

Still, enhancing his brain's endurance or soul strength through various means might be an exciting topic to explore.

As Natsuhiko pondered this, he quickly washed up.

Noticing that Kakashi wasn't in the room and hearing faint noises from outside, he opened the door and stepped out.

"Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique!"

The moment he stepped out, Natsuhiko saw Kakashi not far away, quickly forming hand seals. Then, taking a deep breath, his chest swelled, and he spat out a massive fireball, which roared forward.

Natsuhiko raised his eyebrow slightly as he watched the fireball hit a large tree but pass right through without causing any damage.

Clap, clap, clap.

Seeing Kakashi stop, Natsuhiko walked over, clapping his hands.

"Kakashi, I didn't expect you to master the projection technique so quickly. It's already on par with Obito's Fireball Projection Technique."

Natsuhiko smiled while internally thinking.

It seems that even without the Sharingan, nothing can stop Kakashi from copying other people's jutsu.

Is this the true power of the original Copy Ninja?

Although Kakashi received praise from his Sensei, his response was indifferent, and he was still unsatisfied with his previous technique.

"You're too kind, Sensei. Actually, the fireball projection technique's image and sound were not perfectly synchronised."

Kakashi shook his head slightly.

Just like how a skilled chef can better taste the quality of food, after learning the projection technique, Kakashi realised how flawed Obito's Fireball Projection Technique was and how inexperienced he had been back then.

The size, temperature, and surrounding environment all affect the sound a fireball makes.

So, Obito's fireball, with its obviously out-of-sync roar, could be easily seen through by an experienced ninja, even without considering the temperature difference.

Being praised for being on par with Obito wasn't something to celebrate for Kakashi, who strives for perfection.

"You're really strict," Natsuhiko chuckled. "But it can't be helped. The projection and sound of the technique are produced separately; they are two different uses of chakra."

"Projection is a transformation of the Clone Technique, while the sound is created by converting chakra into sound waves. Achieving perfect synchronisation without any flaws requires a lot of practice."

Speaking of which, the idea of making sound with the Projection Technique was thanks to Orochimaru.

In the original work, some of his Sound Ninjas used sound as a combat tool.

One of them, whose name Natsuhiko couldn't remember, used a device in his arms to convert chakra into high-pressure air currents and ultrasonic waves to attack enemies.

Natsuhiko borrowed this concept, evolving the Projection Technique from a silent movie to a sound film.

But because of this, just like with the videos from his previous life, the sound and image are not a unified whole, often leading to synchronisation issues.

Natsuhiko, with years of experience and assistance from an intelligent system, could quickly achieve seamless execution.

However, for his students, this was likely the biggest challenge in mastering the Projection Technique.

Being the genius he was, Kakashi quickly understood this and even asked Natsuhiko about the chakra technique used to generate sound, realising its potential in combat.

Natsuhiko was impressed and explained the Sound Ninjas' techniques, offering some inspiration.

Perhaps in the future, Kakashi, who invented the Chidori, will also develop a blade technique based on sonic waves.

After finishing the lesson on chakra sound conversion, Natsuhiko thought of another issue and asked:

"By the way, did you complete the personal projection technique I asked you to design earlier?"

Kakashi shook his head slightly.

"Not yet, Sensei."

"I suppose it's because I don't have anything specific I want to achieve with the Projection Technique."

"But I think copying other people's projection techniques works quite well for now."

The Copy Ninja strikes again!

Natsuhiko complained silently, feeling somewhat speechless.

After all, the whole idea of teaching the Projection Technique was to let everyone benefit from each other's work.

Why should Kakashi, who hasn't done anything, get to enjoy the same benefits?

Is this some unspoken agreement between two generations of Copy Ninjas?

Natsuhiko couldn't help but shudder. He thought, "This kid is terrifying. I can't let him continue like this."

At such a young age, he shouldn't be obsessed with copying others. He should be developing new techniques that Natsuhiko could learn from!

Since Kakashi hadn't found his projection technique, Natsuhiko decided to help him out.

After some thought, Natsuhiko said:

"The reason I asked you all to create your projection technique is to help you clarify your ninja way."

"Projection Techniques allow you to reflect your ideas into reality at a meagre cost."

"Obito's fake fireball, Asuma's showmanship, Kurenai's illusion techniques, Rin's cute pet projections, and Ebisu's mosaics are all part of their dreams."

"The fact that you haven't found your projection technique, Kakashi, shows that you're still a bit confused about your path."

Seeing Kakashi's eyes widen in realisation, Natsuhiko smiled and added:

"But that's okay. A ninja's path is something worth pursuing for a lifetime."

"Still, for the sake of our future lessons and research, you should choose a direction to focus on."

"I happen to have an interesting Projection Technique that would suit you. Want to give it a try?"

Still somewhat dazed from his Sensei's earlier words, Kakashi hesitated for a moment before asking:

"Sensei, can you show me the technique first?"

"Of course."

Natsuhiko smiled, then glanced at the White Fang short sword on Kakashi's back and said:

"But I think using your sword would make the demonstration more effective."

Kakashi didn't mind and handed the short sword to Natsuhiko.

The two took a few steps back from each other.

Natsuhiko placed his right index finger on the back of the sword, as if holding a scalpel, and in a much more serious tone than usual, said:

"Kakashi, remember not to move when I make my move. I'm not fully in control of this technique, so if you move, it could cost you your life."

Seeing his Sensei's serious demeanour, Kakashi nervously swallowed.

He wanted to ask why he had to be the target when there were so many trees around...

Perhaps this technique could only be learned through personal experience.

With that thought, Kakashi became even more eager and asked:

"Sensei, what's the name of this technique?"

Natsuhiko tilted his head slightly and replied:

"Well... I haven't really named it, but if I had to, I'd probably call it... Nine-Headed Dragon Flash."
