CHAPTER 2:Where is She?

Y/N: let's get inside and place that mask in on one the faces of those statues.

Rose: the quickest we get those masks we fastest we get out of here.

the both of you got back inside the dinning room were the shotgun is.when you got inside Micheal words appeared again on one of the walls.you closed the door before standing behind her and listening to her speaking with Micheal.

Micheal: Rest....

Rose: we did that already!

Micheal:What's wrong?

Y/N: you know!

Rose: Everything! Non of this was supposed to happen.

Micheal: Why not leave?

Rose: No. the reason i came here hasn't changed. I need that crystal.

Micheal: Here( summoning a First Aid Med)

Rose:(taking it) Thank you. Come on Y/N let's get back to where the Crystal is and put this mask on one of them.

she said as she start walking to the door that is leading to the main Castle hall.but then you stopped her.

Y/N:hey Rose wait! here take some of my chest rigs.

Rose: no it's okay i can use the coat's pockets.

Y/N: those are way better and it will be easier for you to reach besides your mags wont drop out of your pocket if you run or fall.

Rose:(taking the chest rigs) all right .(putting them round her) you're right those will do great! thanks~.

after she finished placing her mags on the Chest rigs the both of you continued walking back to the castle main hall.as you were walking to the statues with your MP5 ready checking every corner.Rose then stopped in front of it and pulled the mask from her pocket.when she placed the mask a blue fire light up from one of a three the small fire pit that were around the statues.

Rose: we are so close in getting that Crystal.all we have to do is to find the two other masks.

Y/N: there is a door that is blocked by one of those Cores i think we will find more like this.

Rose walked in front of it with a big smile on her face and start waving her hand over the Core.

Rose: Allow me to do this...aaand after you.

Y/N: you look like you are enjoying using your powers are you sure you want to remove them.

Rose: No! i'm not enjoying using them! and yeah! I'm sure that i want them removed!.

Y/N: all right calm down just let me lead the way this time.

when you opened the door and walked down the stairs you start checking every corner.it was hard for the both of you to explore the rest of the rooms because they were blocked by mold.

Y/N: the mold is covering the floor and the walls and there is no cores that you could destroy.they are probably on the other side.

Rose: there is a room over there that i can remove the Core from it door.

after Rose removed the Core.the both entered the room with your pistols ready then but it was empty.only a box with a red eye on it.

Rose: nothing here. except this box.and it's locked

Y/N: there is a paper with some writings on it maybe it have some clues.it reads.

I do not recall a single thing.Not who I am.nor how I came to be.I know nothing.My memories are as broken as the face i hide behind this mask. All that remains is this feeling.this hunger.to see others in pain.the despair in their eyes. the sounds of their screams...Who will be my next quarry? i have my minion to do my biding.he has many faces but no brains within those skulls. he is my best hound and he will chase those rabbits down.

Rose: i think that he is that fat ugly man.

Y/N: that's no all. he mentioned a minion and referred to it as his best hound.we need to be careful.

Rose: all right let stay together.and go to other room that is deeper in the castle.

after exploring some of the rooms of the castle you arrived at a small one with a broken wooden floor.there Micheal word appeared again in one of the walls.

Micheal:"Safe here"....Tired?

Rose: we are fine.but what about you?

Micheal:"Weak here"

Y/N: i think the more we get deeper into the castle the more he get weak

Rose: is that why your words are fading?

Micheal:"Yes"

Rose: Try not do over do it,then.

when Rose turned away and start walking out Micheal word appeared to you.

Micheal:'' please i know that i asked you before but i will ask you again please keep her safe"

Y/N: and again Micheal don't worry we have a strong bond now,i will keep her safe.you are the second person that i promised.

Rose come on Y/N did you finish you chat with Micheal?

Y/N: all right i'm coming.let's go explore the south part of the castle we might find something there.

while heading to the south part of the castle you didn't find any of those monsters.it was easy walking there but you kept on alert watching each other's backs.then you arrived at a big room with five paintings and one empty frame.and on the wall was a small bared chamber with a small box inside it.

as you kept looking to the paintings Rose walked to the small bared chamber inside it was a wooden box with writing on it.then Rose took a closer look and start reading the writings on it..

Rose: the predators stand united each staring down their prey.i think it have to do with the paintings.

Y/N:that makes sense but we have a problem there is only five the other one is missing.

Rose: let's look for it.there is more rooms upstairs. 

Y/N: wait on of them is there.

Rose: Eww he's eating her corps.

pulling your shotgun you hid behind the corner and aimed at his head.

putting your finger on the trigger you gave is gentle squeeze exploding his head into pieces.

Rose: wow that's cool i can't wait to take mine.

as you were walking through the hallways Rose cleared them from the Cores that were filling them with the mold.then out of nowhere you heard the voice of that fat man.

the Duke:My word you're just full of surprises,aren't you?but i think you will find that this strapping brute is made of sterner stuff.

then a big mold monster with a lot of faces all around his body came from the ground he was carrying a big weapon

Rose:Shit! Y/N! what should we do? Run or shoot?!

Y/N: both!

Rose: huh!?

without telling her you carried her on your shoulder,holding her body with one hand so she dose not fall and using your pistol to kill the mold monsters that might come your way then you start running,Rose understood what she have to do,when you were running and taking the responsibility of protecting the front she used her pistol to shoot the big mold monster that are chasing you.more mold monster were dropping from above almost falling on you but you dogged them.then you entered a room with a dead fireplace chimney that had an opening to another part of the castle you then let Rose back on her feet.you the pointed with your finger and singled her to go there.seeing that the big monster was so close she quickly went to the fireplace chimney and crouched to pass to the other side.but half way there she turned her face and she kept looking at you as you pulled you shotgun and shot every shell at him.then you turned to Rose.you saw that she was still there.you rand to her and crouched down pushing her through the wall and following after her.when the both of you reached the other side you turned to Rose and said.

Y/N: are you okay?

Rose: yes i'm okay thanks for throwing me on your shoulder and running like that without telling me.and to add to that staying behind and leaving me alone like that.and leaving yourself alone to fight that monster.what if you got killed?!

Y/N: i will take that as a yes let get those paintings.

Rose: listen i don't want to lose my friend so next time we need to fight together.

you entered a room full of knight armors and in one of the tables was another amplifier.you taped Rose shoulders and pointed at it.

Rose: look another one of these amplifier. Looks like there are more of these.

Y/N: do you need another touch on the shoulder.

Rose: no it's okay but it's okay if you want to do it.

Y/N:(putting a hand on her shoulder) i hope you get something that do some damage to these monsters.

Rose: i hope i can get that too...and that's it thanks again both of you.

Micheal: "Stronger Now"

Y/N: there is a mold monster you can try.your powers might work on them now too.

she used her powers to stun the mold monster making him stop moving.

Rose:That was me.I did that!

reloading a shell on the shotgun then pumping it you aimed it at it head and killed it.

Y/N: are you sure you want your powers gone you seem like you like them now.

Rose:like i told you before i-

Y/N: your voice didn't sound like it when you did that to that monster and when you did that to the Cores and when you absorbed that amplifier.

Rose: Come on let's go i will stop the monsters with my powers and you will shoot them.

after getting out from the room and went back to were you fought the big mold monster,you found that it went away,looking to the wooden floor you saw Micheal words along with a glowing blue flower.

Micheal:"this too"

Y/N: i think he want's you to have it.

Rose picked up the glowing flower then she held it between her hands and absorbed it power.

Rose: i feel slightly more powerful.Thanks Micheal.

Micheal:" be careful"

Y/N: before we get out of this room let me check the hall way i will give you a signal when i do follow behind.

Rose: Roger that Captain.

after looking from the corner you saw that the hall way that is leading back to the other rooms was filled with mold monsters.getting back inside you start reloading your shotgun.and then you checked you other weapons.Rose did the same with her pistol.finding that she only have one mag left.

Rose: i'm almost out can you give me another mag.

Y/N: here you can have two. i have five more just keep them for an emergency for now i will take care of the killing while you use your powers on them.this time you will be in the front use your powers to stun the monster and i will shoot them but don't go too far just stay very close to me.

when you walked out of the room Rose stood in front of you.putting your hand on her shoulder you held your MP5 with he other then you start walking step by step. every time a mold monster turn to you and screams Rose use her powers and stun them and you open fire filling it head with bullets.arriving at one of the rooms you found two mold monsters standing close to each other and when Rose hit them with her powers the both of them got stunned.this time you didn't shoot them as you pulled your knife and cut both of their heads.then when you looked to one of the drawers in the room you found a big key a red eye on it.

Y/N: here keep this with you it might open that door with red eye too.

Rose took the key off your hand and kept it on her pocket,after looking around the room for something else you didn't find anything.

Rose:alright let go and open that door.

when you went back to the castle yard you found the door with red eye still locked using the key yo were able to unlocked it.as soon as you pushed the door one of the other Roses bodies fell and slammed on the floor.then when you looked to the walls of the room you found small TVs broadcasting the voice of the Duke.

the Duke:You're quite the tricksy little rabbit to have made it this far. and that wolf with you he made it harder for me i think i know you from somewhere but that dose not matter when both of you are dead. then next mask, However won't be nearly as easy to get your grubby paws on.

Y/N:we are getting close don't let him get through your mind we can do this.let keep moving.

when you went up the stairs you found many of the other Rose's dead bodies held on the walls like a trophy.Rose pushed her cap down and avoided looking at their faces but that didn't effect you.you kept moving checking every corner with your MP5 ready. then you entered a room with a door on the floor and surrounding that door more dead bodies of the other Roses.

Y/N:you seem that you are not comfortable i will do this puzzle.

you walked to the wall where there's a writing on and start reading it.

Y/N:Although I have just drowned,the arrows bite doth sting They hanged me long ago,yet i feel everything. But still the worst,not last nor first,the sharpened blade did ring. 

looking to the bodies you saw one with a lot of blood and mold covering it and another one shot with many arrows and another stabbed with a sword.

Y/N: i think i got it...all we have to do is push the one that is covered with blood and then we have to push the one that is shot with arrows then the one that is stabbed with the sword.and we can open that door.

after pushing the bodies inside the empty space behind them in order.the door in the floor opened revealing a stairs that lead down to an underground.walking down you found the old dungeon of the palace.rooms filled with wine barrels and old antiques.

Y/N: Rose watch your steps this place might be more dangerous than up there.

Rose:i Hope not.

then after waling through the rooms you head a monstrous sound,that big monster with a lot of faces emerged from the ground with it big spike weapon.then it' start running toward the both of you.you aimed you MP5 and opened fire at him while Rose used her powers to stun it but this time your bullet and her powers didn't have mush effect on it.putting you MP5 away you pushed Rose to the other direction.

Y/N: Run! Run! Run!.

Rose: but we need to find the mask first.

Y/N: just run and i will keep it busy.when you find the mask just shout to me and i will follow you.

Rose: alright...just stay alive okay.i don't want to lose my first friend.

Rose then did what you told her to do and start running away looking for the second mask while you stayed behind distracting the monster,whenever is try to hit you you dodge it attack and shoot it with your pistol or slash it arms with your knife.making it drop it weapon.taking this chance you backed away while pulling your shotgun then you start firing at it.making it back away.after your shotgun was empty the big monster roared and charged at you.as you start dogging it attacks you heard gun shots from the behind.

Rose pov:

Rose was running and shooting the mold monsters coming her way,while avoiding some of them some times when she arrived into a dead end she found the silver mask on a statue she took it off and run back to you on the way she found a pip bomb on a table,she grabbed it as she passed by it then she heard the voice of the Duke talking to her from the speakers

The Duke: You've put your filthy mitts on something you shouldn't have.I think it's time to teach this greedy little rabbit a lesson.

then the monster with the many faces came from the mold wall behind the small statue and start chasing her.

YOUR POV:

when you were about to cut it arms ones again it disappeared into the ground.leaving you alone.then you head a feminine scream.and a rumbling sounds.

Y/N:(that's probably Rose.come on hurry up.)Rose! did you get the god damn mask!?or what?!

Rose: yes! it's with me don't worry i'm coming!

then after few moments you heard foot steps,then you saw Rose running in you direction behind her was that big monster.then she threw the pip bomb to you and you caught it.thinking quickly you detonated the bomb and waited for Rose to pass.as soon as she did you threw the bomb at it.and when the bomb blew up it made the wine barrels fall at the monster giving the both you enough time to run back inside the castle.when you got there the floor door closed behind you.Rose sat down panting while you stood there reloading you empty weapons.

Y/N:are you hurt? if you are i can give you a stimpack.

Rose: no thanks i'm good.

Y/N: it's okay it's not just for healing it's a pick me up too.

you walked to her and knelled down beside her.you took the Stimpack from it holder then you pulled her sheaves up and held her hand after giving it a gentle squeeze you injected her.

Y/N: that will do.it will keep you more energetic and it will heal that wound in your shoulder too.don't think i didn't notice it.

Rose:(blushing)(my heart is beating so fast and i feel like there is butterflies on my stomach what is happening is this the effect of the Stimpacke?)... i didn't know that having a friend will be this good.thank you Y/N~...you know sometime i think you are my other guardian angle Gabriel.

as soon as she said that Micheal words appeared on one of the closets inside the room your in.

Micheal:"sorry for interrupting the moments"...The mask?

Rose: i Got it...but just barley.This ugly brute turned up.

Micheal:"Don't fight Run"

Rose:No shit! i can't fight something like that.

Micheal:"Take this"(summoning blue glowing flowers)

Rose:(taking it) I'll take all the help i can get.

then Rose walked away to a door and opened it revealing a balcony that showed a large view to the landscape,snow was everywhere.and the cold wind filled the room you are in.she quickly closed the door and went back inside and sat down on the floor.

Rose: it's very cold don't you feel cold.

Y/N: no i have been trained to resist cold weather, hot weather,pain...and other things.

Rose:(patting the spot next to her) come on let's take some rest.

when you sat next to her she took a deep breath before she looked at you.

Rose:i get that you didn't have a great childhood too.

Y/N:i don't have a childhood i have been trained to be a solider since i was a kid.

Rose:so after we get out of here what do you want to do?

Y/N: i don't know how this should go,you are the first person that i consider a friend.i never had a friend before let alone a beautiful girl like you.

Rose:(blushing)b-beautiful!?...uh...i don't think that i'm bea-

Y/N:(looking at her) just take it.

Rose: alright....can i ask you something else?.

Y/N: sure we don't have anything else to do.

Rose: why are you doing this? why are you doing this job? is it the money?

Y/N: yes and no.

Rose: what do you mean by that?

Y/N: yes i do that for money but i also do that for the challenge.

Rose: and why do they call you HUNK?.

Y/N: The name H.u.n.k is actually an abbreviation for Human Unit Never Killed. i earned this title because literally, nothing can come close to taking me down.

Rose: hmmm you sound very proud of yourself....i like that. and do you always keep your gas mask on?

Y/N: yes unlike you i came here with protection.

Rose: why don't you remove the mask?

Y/N: because i don't want to.

Rose: i get it, are you ugly?.

Y/N: quiet the opposite actually.

Rose: i doubt that.

Y/N:...i'm not gonna show you my face.

Rose:can i ask why you brought all those weapon to get me? i'm i that dangerous?

Y/N: i thought that the people who are watching over you will be more protecting of you but i guess i was wrong.

Rose: yeah i always want some freedom.that's why i went alone on that day.

Y/N:(sigh) come on let's keep going we have to find those two paintings along with the golden Mask.we can afford to lose time.

after getting out of the room to the balcony you passed to the other balcony that has a room that leads to another part of the castle.after getting inside the whole hallway was empty.there was not monsters there only some mold on the walls and the floor near it.after walking into a room that appears to be a bathroom you found one painting inside next to a big bathtub.

Rose: that's a very big bathtub. 

Y/N:let's get this painting and get out of here. don't worry i will carry them.

Rose:let's go back and put this mask first.

Y/N: alright.i will lead the way.

after getting back and placing the mask the same thing has happened as before.a blue fire lit up from a fire pot.then after that you went back to the room with the paintings.and placed the panting in it place.after solving the puzzle the chamber on the walls opened giving you anther black key with three red eyes on it.

Rose:did he make these puzzles to miss with us?...now let's go get that shotgun!.

after returning to the room where the shotgun is Rose used the key to open the chamber.taking the shotgun she checked if it was loaded.

Rose: great it have some shell in it.

Y/N: now that you got the shotgun here some shotgun shells you can take one of my tactical shell dispenser.

as you were strapping the shell dispenser around her waist she looked away hiding her blush.

A.N:(it look like this)

Y/N: alright it's all good.no it will be faster for you to reach them reload.here you just pull one up and the other will rise up.

Rose:(blushing)t-thanks.

Y/N: are you okay your face is red?

Rose:y-yeah i'm okay let's just keep going.i think we should look for a black door that have three red eyes on it.i think it around the location where we found the bronze mask.

going back to the door you opened the door revealing a big room full of mold that was coming from alot of Cores that were in the ceiling.there was the mask in the center of the room surrounded by mold.

Rose: is that the last mask?

Y/N: yes what else could it be.(looking around the room) look there is those furniture that are held by the mold above it you removed the Cores they will fall making a pass to the mask.

Rose: oh you're right!i will do that now.

when Rose removed the first Core four mold monster came from the mold on the floor.but you took out your MP5 and knelled down then you start shooting the while Rose removed the other Cores.

as the monster came up to you you start killing them with ease but they start growing in numbers.but that didn't stop you.you start running and shooting and stabbing killing more and more while Rose was Removing the Cores whenever she got a good view of them.after making a pass to the mask by dropping the furniture.Rose came back and walked to the mask and picked it up from another small statue.after she picked it up she felt some pain it her arm.

Rose: what now?

then then big mold monster with many faces came from behind her.you were about to warn her but you got surrounded by mold and you got pulled by it yo the ground.

but you were able to shout for her before you got pulled.

Y/N:Rose Runnnnnnnnnn!

Rose pov:

before she could do anything the big monster hit her and she fell unconscious.after that Rose woke up on an underground cell that were surrounded by Cores from the outside.

Rose:were am i?Y/N where are you?!

the duke: Rise and shine little one! what a shame you were a hop,a skip,and a jump away from claiming your crystalline prize.i knew the real Rose would be so much more lively.it would be a shame to snuff you out so unceremoniously.shall we prolong our fun a little longer?Oh,come now,don't pout. I've prepared a nice little diversion for you.and unfortunately that wolf that was with you is a little busy at the moment.

Rose:what did you do to him?!i sear if you did anything i will make you pay!

the walls behind the cell got filled with more Cores covering most of the walls.

the Duke:so many sclerotia, nearly all of them are counterfeit.Do you think you can suss out the real ones?

Rose: than start looking around trying to find which of them is the real one,the mold from the Core start expanding covering more parts of the walls and the floor.even inside the cell that she's in.

the Duke:Time is running out little one Tick tock. tick tock.

Rose: How am i supposed to tell the difference?

Micheal:"I will help...on the left...lower then the barrel "

when Rose looked to her Right she saw a barrel on a bunch of wooden boxes then she looked at her left and start looking for the lowest Core after finding it she used her powers and removed it.

Micheal: "Nice work...Next one"..."broken wall"..."Deep shadow".

Rose looked to a big hole inside her cell that got filled with cores too.and there was a big one in the center.she was about to use her power to remove it when a mold monster came out and lunged at her.but she dogged it attack and pulled the dagger you gave to her and stabbed it in the face killing it.

Rose:( thanks Y/N!)

the Duke:one minute to go! better pick up the pace!

after removing the big Core in the hole all the mold inside it disappeared,but the mold outside the cell is still there.

Rose: still not done?

the Duck: are you ready for the grand finale?

Micheal:" Hurry "..."follow my words"..."up here"

Rose: (looking up) please be the last one.

after removing the Core that was in the center of the ceiling all the mold around the cell disappeared and the cell barres lowered down letting Rose out.

Rose: thank god that's over.

Micheal:"you did it".

Rose: i couldn't have done it without you!

Micheal:"All you"(summoning ammo)

Rose: i was hopping for a pony,but i guess this will do.hey Micheal is Y/N okay? he was not with me when i woke up.

Micheal:"Don't worry...I will bring him...To you"

Rose: thanks Micheal~

YOUR POV:

when you woke up you found yourself in a different section of the castle it was a small cell in an underground dungeon.after you got up you checked if you weapons are still with you.and they were.then you looked to the cell door and you found it locked.pulling your pistol you shot the lock braking it. after successfully unlocking the door you got out and start looking for a way out.

Y/N: i need to go back and look for her...i hope she's okay.

after walking through the dungeon tight hall ways you start seeing Micheal word appear on the walls.

Micheal: "this way"

Y/N: hey is Rose okay.

Micheal: "yes but no for a long time"

after following Micheal's word you found yourself in a storage room where there was a lot of pip bombs.

Micheal:"this will help"

Y/N:(taking the bombs) that will do a lot of damage to the big bastard.

Micheal:"I will lead you to her"

you start following Micheal word leading the way to were Rose is,nothing was stopping you as you killed any mold monster that was in your way.

Micheal: "Y/N please hurry Rose need your help"

Y/N: don't worry Micheal. I'm her Gabriel after all.

then you arrived into an old wall that was not properly held together. you heard Rose's vice behind it.after lighting up a pip bomb you backed away and threw it at the wall blowing it up.then you walked out of the smoke to face the big mold monster that Rose is fighting.

Y/N:Kept you waiting huh?
