Chen An’nian’s Decision

Chen An’nian admitted that he was being a bit pretentious.

Moreover, he had an undeserved sense of sympathy.

It was truly damn dangerous.

In a life-or-death battle, either you die or I perish.

Having sympathy meant that death was not far away.

Clutching the fragments of his broken sword, Chen An’nian once again stabbed into his already healed wound.

...

On the third day of the battle, the woman in black did not come again.

Before stepping onto the stage, Chen An’nian did something that astonished everyone.

“Um, do you have a wife and children? Will your family seek revenge on me? Oh, and do you have any fellow disciples?”

“Let me make it clear, this is a fight to the death. If you die, even though I killed you, it doesn’t really matter to me.”

“Or perhaps, you should just leave. I want to fight those crazy fighters who don’t mind dying... even if it means killing them.”

The opponent in the arena was dumbfounded, as were the spectators in the stands.
