Jack took a deep breath, looked at Dos seriously, and said, "Uncle Dos, after Director Terry wraps up and leaves Marin, I won't be able to help you keep your current position."
Dos shook his head with a smile. "I know that, Jack. Don't put too much pressure on yourself."
Jack was silent for a moment, his gaze steady. Then, he continued, "Uncle Dos, do you trust me?"
Dos was taken aback, his expression shifting to confusion. "What's this about?"
Jack leaned forward slightly. "I have an idea, but it depends on whether you're willing to take a risk."
Dos narrowed his eyes, studying Jack closely. After a moment, he chuckled. "You're being cryptic, Jack. What trick do you have up your sleeve this time?"
Jack didn't hold back. "Uncle Dos, instead of waiting for someone to dismiss you, why not take the initiative to resign once your work here is done?"
