The captain of the Armed Forces Bureau, standing a few feet away, shot Theodore a cold look. His eyes were as sharp as a blade, his posture perfectly composed. "Mr. Theodore," he said, his voice icy, "be careful with your words. You're not in a position to be making threats, especially with how things are right now. If this news reaches the Hiran family, I'm sure you understand the consequences."
Theodore froze, his face darkening, his fists tightening until his nails dug into his palms. For a moment, he looked as if he might lash out, but instead, he gritted his teeth and muttered under his breath, "I'm sorry. I spoke out of anger."
The captain of the Armed Forces Bureau didn't respond directly, but the contempt in his gaze was evident. "We didn't catch Jack, but we've got something even better, don't we?" he said, nodding slightly toward Minso, whose expression remained unfazed. "We'll take him back for questioning. We'll get something out of him. We always do."
