Jack slipped out of the ward like a thief. He was truly terrified of running into the doctor, who would undoubtedly scold him.
Fortunately, the hospital was very quiet at this hour. The nurses at the station were drowsy, and there were no doctors wandering the halls.
Jack finally found the wheelchairs stacked near the stairs. He quietly pushed one back to the ward.
Selana stretched out her arms, and Jack sighed.
Why did he agree to this?
Jack himself felt like he was losing his mind. Of course, Selana seemed even crazier.
With a gloomy expression, Jack finally carried Selana into the wheelchair. He then nervously instructed her:
"You are not allowed to speak until we get downstairs. If the doctor finds out, we'll both get scolded."
Though, truthfully, Jack knew he would bear the brunt of it.
Selana didn't say anything, which Jack took as her agreement.
