A heated fight under the building happens between Ryuma and Vestine. Ryuma threw a hit after hit, but the result was either he didn't get a clean hit or dodged. At some point, Vestine also started to make his moves as he gave a roundhouse kick to Ryuma.
Ryuma could feel the force from Vestine's kick as he was almost sent back.
(And his raw power... Is also high!) Probably by the certain amount of experience for Vestine, that's what Ryuma thought. But regardless of how strong Vestine is, Ryuma vows to take down this old man in this instant. And once again, that's what Ryuma thought.
The sight of hostages had almost been set on fire infuriating Ryuma. Should he pushed Vestine aside and save the hostage? But It'll risk him to bring harm to Line who's on her death door. The receptionist girl noticed Ryuma kept gazing at her way while fighting.
"Hoho, you're good, kid~ It's been a while since my adrenaline is been boiling up!" As Vestine finished his words, he saw an opening and kicked Ryuma in his rib, sending him crashing onto the counter. The receptionist girl, seeing Ryuma was right near her, whispered to him.
'Please untie these shackles any way you can!' Ryuma's eyes were locked on the iron shackles that were bound on the receptionist girl's hand.
"Oi! What are you whispering about? Don't leave uncle alone~" Vestine throws a chair to Ryuma as he shouts. Smoke and dust cover the area, Vestine realizes he's unable to see Ryuma from the burning smoke plus the destruction he just caused.
As Vestine saw Ryuma again, he realized that the shackle was unlocked from the receptionist girl's hand. And at the moment of realization when he lost one of his cards, he just sighed. The magic circle appeared within Ryuma and the hostage's feet, and a second later, they all vanished into the air. Being sent by the teleportation magic.
But, there's only one person who's been left behind. No, two people, which is Line and the receptionist girl. Vestine looks at the receptionist girl and Line as he's holding his mustache.
"Hmm... I guess he got sent far. And soon, this girl also will bleed to death. Which means that leave you, Lessie Aura. From the information I've got from that 'guy', you're currently working for a certain organization. Was it perhaps that organization was in this small town?"
"Huh?" Aura, as she gulped her saliva, she looked into Vestine's eyes.
"I don't actually know who're you working for, but the information tells about your Unique to teleport the person to far away. Say, young lady, would you be kind as to serve Flameborn?" Vestine, of course, didn't miss an opportunity to recruit people with strong abilities.
"No, I refuse. But, I have a question for you..."
"Hmm... What is it?..." Vestine started scratching his mustache again.
"For what reason have you come to our town? Why have you come to destroy the harmonization in this small town?"
"Hoho... Young lady, as the leader of the first platoon, I'm not obligated to tell you, but since you're tied to whoever, I'll tell you." Vestine told Aura about the bounty the student from the Bakenami Academy has. Aura, closed her eyes as she talked calmly.
"So, despite you coming to claim the bounty, you also target the civilians of this town?"
"No, they were just on our radar. So it's their fault that they didn't run from us. Remember, Flameborn will wipe everything in its path..." The tears come out of Aura's eyes as she holds the badge on her chest.
"You're truly... Merciless. I pray to you that your existence will be banished in the name of 'The Sage'."
"The Sage?" At that moment, Vestine comes to a realization when he sees the logo of the badge.
"Wait, that logo... I've known of that logo..."
"Oh, so you have raided our hometown without knowing whose place you're intruding into? I'm just telling you, that most of your guys have already been wiped out by now." A sweat flows from Vestine, perhaps it might be from the heat or an exhaustion.
"Damn it, I'm not leaving with an empty hand! In that case. I've got no choice but to drag you with me." Before Vestine's hand touched Aura, the barrier had been formed around her.
"No, even if you managed to get out from here, you'll be left with nothing. I'll make sure of that. By the way, the female stuff you spared earlier has been safely sent to the shelter. But, there are two magic circles. One for the girls... And one for him."
Before Vestine knew it, somebody kicked his face, sending him flying right to the outside of the guild. Ryuma used this opportunity he pick up Line and bring it to Aura.
"Please, save yourself and her."
"W-Wait, what about you-"
"NO NEED!!!" Ryuma hurriedly dashed outside, leaving Aura and Line behind.
...
Vestine gets up after being kicked by Ryuma, having a bit headache, his vision is blurry until he realizes Ryuma is already in front of his face. With full force, Ryuma hit Vestine in the abdomen as hard as he could, sending him flying once again.
(I got this... I feel like my blood is boiling every second I breathe...) Smoke comes out from Ryuma's mouth, he can tell how hot his body is right now. Ryuma used this opportunity to charge Vestine while his guard was down, sending him far, far from the guild.
Again and again, Ryuma managed to hit Vestine a couple of times before Vestine regained his consciousness and blocked Ryuma's attack. From a close distance, they've both decided to fight and to hand combat. Ryuma who was once called a martial arts prodigy, is on par with the combat skill Vestine has.
"You're strong old man. Did you work for the military or something?" Ryuma attacked Vestine and he got sent back. Vestine with the numb arms smiled as he answered...
"A veteran actually. But that's an old story. No matter if you happen to have acknowledged it." At the same time, Ryuma noticed Vestine was holding something in his hand, but it was invisible so he couldn't tell what it was. Vestine threw the invisible object and caught Ryuma off guard.
Ryuma instinctively dashes to the side, thinking he avoid the object. But Ryuma didn't acknowledge it was a decoy. But Ryuma could hear the sound coming from the left and his right ears as he instinctively had his arm up.
"Arrgh!"
