The Ship On Land

"Damn it! (That's what you thought, but I have summoned invisible fireballs right in front of your face, now die!)"

The multiple fireballs hit Lainar right in the head like Vestine intended to. But it occurred to him as bizarre the moment the fireballs hit Lainar's face. His hand, leg, and body turned into liquid and thus disappeared into the ground.

"I already know your trick, old man." Vestine can feel the sharp pain piercing his back. But the thing is he's lying down on the ground, the harpoon reveals itself as it pierces Vestine's flesh and bone whole. It's as if the harpoon comes from below the ground, somehow.

"Now now, I haven't yet done with you. Just to tell you, most of your guys have been either surrendered or killed. I must say that you have the guts coming to raid The Sage's place without all Flameborn's 'full force'. But, that's fine, Flameborn also lost some of their manpower. It's gonna be a while for them to make their moves again."

(What?! All of my guys have been defeated?! It can't be, even if most of them are dropout elite soldier from multiple countries, their strength is no joke if they come in a group...)

As Lainar focused his gaze towards Vestine, he caught sight of someone running towards him, it was Ryuma, Aura, and Line. Lainar felt relieved when he saw Aura unscathed, but he also saw the familiar face among the three.

"Oh, it's the brat. And... Where did I see you again?..." Lainar approached Ryuma and he stared deep into his eyes, not long until his face got kicked by Line out of anger.

"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU CALLING THE BRAT?!"

"IT HURTS, LITTLE BRAT!!!" Once again, Lainar got kicked a second time as he turned his head to Line. The two started to brawl like a kid until Aura separated those two.

"Stop acting like a little kid! It's embarrassing!" Shout Aura, flustered. The mood went to normal as Lainar got up and introduced himself to Ryuma.

"Well, that's that. Anyway, as you might probably know, I'm Lainar Flaukner. The one and only S rank Adventure in Melistown. And just so you didn't try to make any move on her, Lassie Aura, she's my girlfriend..." Lainar gave a wide smile to Ryuma, but Ryuma didn't get the meaning of the smile and just shrugged it off as a sign of 'I have a girlfriend, you don't'.

"Don't! It's embarrassing!" Aura punched Lainar in the jaw, causing Lainar to lose consciousness as he fell to his knees. But, even after getting punched, there's a smile written on Lainar.

"This is... A punch because she was embarrassed. Oh... Everytime punch she gives always gives a shockwave to my body, I think I'm addicted to it."

"Are you a masochist?" Ryuma gave a weird look on Lainar. Not long after, Ryuma diverted his attention as he almost forgot about it. Unfortunately, Vestine, was nowhere to be seen. Line, Lainar, and Aura also tried to search for Vestine's whereabouts, but it was no use.

"Vestine, he..." That's when Ryuma actually realized that Vestine had disappeared without a trace using his invisible Unique. 

"He couldn't have gone far, surely! I've pierced his chest from the back, but there's no trace of his blood!" Lainar tried to search for the blood, he used his finger to touch the ground and felt the sense of liquid, he was sure it was Vestine's blood that got invisible.

"He camouflages his blood entirely, unless we're lucky, we have no way to trace and find him." At the same time, the group realized the smoke that was coming not far from the area. They quickly check the sources of the smoke and saw the whole building on fire, left and right.

It seems Vestine left them the last present before running off somewhere.

"No..." Aura fell to her knees, in tears as she watched the whole building in the west burn down.

"Its residents have fled, but there's nowhere for them to be living at this point." Said Line as she tried to comfort Aura. And then, Lainar steps forward as he takes a look at the burning building.

"These buildings might still be usable if somebody were to put out the fire..." From Lainar's words, Ryuma comes to a realization as he tries to use his RULE again. But his fight from earlier took a toll on his body as he fell down.

"Whoa there, take it easy kiddo. I see that you're trying to absorb the flame and send it to the sky, but we got a second person who can put out those fires anyway." Turns out Lainar has arrived earlier than expected as he witnessed Ryuma's fight against Vestine. As Lainar said the word, he stepped forward...

"Pirate Bitch!" Lainar summons the ship, 10 or maybe 20 times bigger than him. He felt the sensation of water hit him as the ship was summoned as if the ship had come out from the sea despite being on the ground.

(Actually, Is that ship floating on the ground?) Ryuma sees no dust or ground destroyed by the ship's weight. But see the water ripple or one might call it, ground ripple.

"As you see it, anything that comes into contact with Pirate Bitch will be turned into the water. No, to be specific, that only works on the surface. But it wouldn't destroy the destroy the ground as they were only water. When Pirate Bitch leaves the ground now, the ground remains unchanged. Now, welcome to my ship, I shall give you the ride to end the calamity in this town!"

Lainar spoke with a true sense of pride. His words leave a sense of impression on Ryuma.

"Pirate Bitch! Shoot the water magic upwards! Put out the remaining fire that still clings to this town!"

(Or maybe not... Who the hell called their Unique Pirate Bitch?!) As Ryuma thought, he realized the cannon that was attached to the ship facing upwards as they shot water out of it. As Lainar commanded, the water really put out the fire on the building in a short time. But that's not yet done, since the whole west itself has a flame destroying the building each second.

Lainar's job to take out the fire would take a while, while taking the detour across the west. The group decided to cast their objective to search for Vestine aside, since he has the ability to camouflage himself. All they know is... Vestine probably has already left the town ages ago...
