Section 6: A homecoming ,Let's Get Back Together

They embarked on their journey to the mountains to retrieve the desert grass. After much searching, a mountain resident guided them to its location.

The soldiers rewarded him with food and money. They reached the herb's site, finding it growing among the shaded areas of the mountains.

They gathered some of the grass, and Arthur instructed a soldier to return with a portion of the plants to Commander Noah's town to help the sick there, while the remaining plants would be taken to their city.

Continuing their journey together, they arrived at a village in the middle of the desert. Arthur instructed the soldiers to halt at this village.

Curious, the soldiers asked why they were stopping there. Arthur explained that a mother and her sick daughter were waiting for them in this village, expecting the desert grass. They entered the village but couldn't find the woman.

Arthur went to a palm tree where a mother was sitting. As she turned and saw Arthur looking at her with a smile, she felt immense joy. She expressed her belief that Arthur was a good man who wouldn't leave her and her poor child stranded.

Arthur handed her the desert grass, and they began feeding the baby with it. Arthur told her, "Let's go back to town," and the mother was delighted by the news.

The child looked at Arthur, smiled, and he carried her as they headed back to the caravan.

He found Soundous waiting for him, and she spotted them from afar, so she laughed and called the painter Jack.

Arthur had found them, and she rejoiced and ran toward them. The child was taken from Arthur's hand, and they headed to the caravan where the soldiers gathered, preparing to depart for Arthur's City.

In the meantime, Arthur's mother was sleeping in her bed, gazing out the window at her sons playing near the house.

They began running with the boys when they noticed a convoy approaching from a distance. Excitedly, they ran towards it alongside the children of the town, and the soldiers started throwing food and dolls to the joyous crowd.

Arthur was surprised to see his brothers running towards him from afar.

He dismounted his horse and embraced them. Upon reaching the house, Arthur and Soundous bid farewell to the painter Jack. Jack requested an invitation to their wedding, and Arthur and Soundous laughed, assuring him that he was most welcome. The painter Jack then departed.

Soundous mentioned that she needed to go to her father and inform him of everything. She expressed that her father was a wonderful person, and she was ready to forgive him for what he had done. Arthur responded affirmatively, praising her decision and acknowledging her wonderful character.

Soundous expressed her gratitude, assuring Arthur that she would never forget what he had done and that it would remain etched in her memory forever. Arthur reciprocated, stating that she would never be alone again.

Arthur entered the house carrying the desert grass and found his mother lying on the bed. He embraced her and shared the news of retrieving the plant and rescuing Soundous from old Frank. His mother praised him, remarking, "This is my son." Arthur laughed and provided her with medicine, urging her to open the box he had brought.

As she opened it, she discovered it was filled with gold, necklaces, and jewelry. Overjoyed, his mother asked where he obtained them.

Arthur explained that it was a gift from the leader of the desert town as a token of gratitude for their actions alongside the painter Jack.

Arthur then informed his mother that they needed to go somewhere that day. Curious, his mother inquired about the destination.
