Ma walked into the board room and was followed by Alexa, Vidam, Gleb, and Timur. Igor, Viktor, and Anton and finally I walked in. Nikolai followed me as I took the seat at the head of the boardroom table. Nikolai sat on my right hand followed by Ma, Anton. Igor, Viktor. Gleb, Alexa, Vidam, and Timur sat behind us.


Present in the boardroom were Uncle Boris and Uncle Sasha, Pa’s old friends, and surprisingly all of Odessa. But what surprised me was that Mila was present. She sat in between Uncle Boris and Uncle Sasha. 


“Now that you are here, refusing to leave the office, can you state your grievances?” I laced my voice with so much coldness and leaned back on the chair. 


There was pin-drop silence in the room and I suspected they thought I would beg and apologize.
