"One's got a cut on his lip, and the other's got one on his neck," Ryder pointed out, gesturing to the small white bandage at the corner of Alaric's mouth and the skin-colored plaster on the back of Raven's neck. "They probably spent the whole day going at it like animals. Jeez, makes you jealous!"
Aiden and Dhimas weren't supposed to laugh, but Ryder's accusation was too funny—especially considering it was the first time Ryder was single, even if it was just for a week.
It was such a reversal of roles now; Alaric, who was usually single, was the one partnered up. Meanwhile, Ryder, Dhimas, and Aiden, who were typically coupled, found themselves unattached.
Still, Alaric's decision to take someone like Raven as his partner was a surprise. They never thought Alaric would fall for someone as chaotic as Raven.
