Alaric scratched his head as he watched Raven move through the fresh produce section, browsing vegetables and fruits with an intensity that surprised him. Supplying groceries for the basecamp was supposed to be Aiden's job. However, Aiden often took shortcuts, stocking up on ready-to-eat meals, packaged drinks, and snacks instead.

Aiden would occasionally buy a few basic items like vegetables, eggs, and cooking spices, mainly for Alaric, who often whipped up simple dishes like fried rice and stir-fries. But the items Raven was loading into the shopping cart were different—exotic spices and unfamiliar ingredients that Alaric had never seen before.
