The Ironies Of Life

Eyes in tears but lips curve to smile

Run a meter, but feels like mile.

Shows strength and greatness in every part

Yet cries in silence when one broke his heart.

Cheer people up when they are down

Awarded by them, gave thorny crown.

Call him their buddy, pal or friend

When things goes right, he's left in the end.

And people died when he was born

Promises—just an empty sworn.

And people live for he's now dead

Gave him rock when he asked for bread.

They condemned him for one wrong deed

Though he helped them when they're in need.

They say people come, people go

When you're in need that's when they'll go.

Reason out, you'll be defensive

State the fact, you'll be offensive.

Keep quiet and you'll be guilty

It's fine, life begins at forty.

Asked for help but no one came

Live on your own, you'll be in shame.

Keep standing, be tough, still and brave

Now we're born, tomorrow we'll be in grave.
