Luis vs Cell, Part 2

"Oof…" I groan as I struggle to push myself up to my feet.

Cell then charges me again. He then activates his Mitochondria and slips into the ground.

"Oh, what the hell, he can do that, too? He's obviously gonna come up from underneath me so I better get away!"

That's when Cell popped out of the ground right in front of me, landing an suppercut straight to my jaw! "Oof!" The impact sends me flying, but that didn't stop Cell's ruthless attack. He then charged after me, grabbing me by the hood then slamming me into the ground. "Argh" I grunt as my back smacks into the rocky ground. Cell then pulls his fist back and aims it for my head. But before the punch can land, I use the reflexes that I've gained for dodging years of attack from bullies. I roll out of the way onto my stomach, before pushing myself back up and running away, putting some distance behind Cell and I.

Wind Control: Tornado!" I shout as I form a tornado in between my hands, which I then send flying towards Cell. But as per usual, my tornado fails to make contact with Cell and instead, passes right through him, until it eventually smacks into the concrete side of the prison, exploding into a tornado, and sending stone and rock flying everywhere.

Cell laughs as he uses his Mitochondria to dodge my Tornando, but when my tornado passes through Cell and he deactivated his Cursed Ability, that's when the concrete chunks of the prison begin raining down upon Cell, battering his body and knocking Cell in the head before he can get a chance to reactive her cursed Ability. Cell crumbles to the ground on one knee, clutching the bleeding gash in his head.

"He deactivated his Cursed Ability the second that he dodged my attack. It must take up too much Cursed Power to keep his Mitochondria activated for too long…" I say to myself. "Alright, let's try that again!" I smirk as I form another tornado between my hands. "Wind Control: Tornado!" I shout as I send my tornado flying towards Cell.

Just like before, my tornado fails to make contact with Cell and instead, passes right through him, as Cell activates his Cursed Ability and stands back up, until it eventually smacks into the concrete side of the prison, exploding into a tornado, and sending stone and rock flying everywhere.

Cell then keeps his Cursed Ability activated as the concrete chunks begin to rain down upon Cell. I figure that Cell will just use his Mitochondria to slip through the rocks, but no. At first, Cell begins to slip through some of the rocks using his Cursed Ability, just as I assumed,, but as the collapse of rubble grows smaller and smaller, Cell begins to catch some of the fallen baseball sized concrete chunks and hurls them in my direction!

"Wind Control: Sweeping Winds!" I shout as I bring my hands up, using a gust of wind to repel some of the stone chunks, until I'm able to come up with a batter plan. "Wind Control: Tornado!" I shout as I hold my hand in the air above my head, creating a tornado around my fist. Due to the suctioning, spinning force of my winds, the stone chunks that Cell hurls my way gets caught up in my breeze, and begin spiraling around in my tornado, causing me to smirk.

"Stone Style Wind Control: Tornado!" I shout as I let my stoney-tornado rip, which flies towards Cell, who activates his Mitochondria in hopes of slipping through my attack. But the wind combined with the various particles of dust as well as large rocks is too much for Cell to handle. Cell manages to slip through my tornado but is still battered by the rocks!

"Bweh!" Cell grunts as my tornado sends him flying backwards, landing on the rocky floor below. "Hey, you finally managed to land a hit on me!" Cell says as he slowly pushes himself off of the ground. "Let's see if you can do that again!" Cell roars as he activates his Mitochondria, slipping into the ground again.

"Alright, so I've seen this attack before, I know what he's trying to do," I say to myself. "I need to create a gust of wind, one strong enough to push me off of the ground and dodge his attack!"

I bring my hands up as wind begins swirling around them. "I need to time this perfectly…" I say. I need to hop into the air almost exactly at the same time Cell hopped out of the ground. If I hop up too early, I'll fall back to the ground before I can dodge the attack, and Cell get me. If I hop out too late, of course I'll get hit regardless.

"Damn, Cell slips through everything underground, I can't even hear him make a noise! Damn, he's taking so long, there's no way that he's heading on me straight on. He must be zig-zagging around underground to mess with my timing!"

After a while, Cell then begins to phase out of the ground underneath me. "Now!" I shout as I thrust my palms into the ground, using the force of my wind blowing against the ground to send me flying upwards.

But only a couple of inches.

"Shit!" I cry as Cell leaps out of the ground and brings his arms high above his head, interlocking his fingers. Cell's tall and I'm a short guy, so with me being a couple of inches off of the ground, we're just about eye level.

"I don't know what you're trying, but it won't work!" Cell roars as he slams his hammer blow downward, banging me on the top of my head and sending me crumbling to the ground on one knee.

"Oww…" I grunt as I rub the bleeding gash in my head.

Cell then reactivates his Cursed Ability again and dives back into the ground again, zig-zagging around, just as before. This time, the second that I see Cell rise out of the ground out of the corner of my eyes, I bring my hands up, wind swirling around them, before thrusting them towards the ground, taking to the air again.

"Sweet!" I cheer, because this time, I'm able to send myself flying a couple of feet into the air this time. Except this time, I flew up too early, because as I begin falling to the ground, Cell rises out of it, landing an uppercut to my jaw, which causes my head to violently snap backwards. Cell then snap-kicks me in the stomach, sending me flying backward and vomiting up blood. I land on the ground with a "thud" and begin rolling off towards the side of the rocky path, but before I can fall off I grab on tightly.

"Shit, shit!" I cry as my eyes flash open, seeing the predicament I'm in, barely hanging onto a cliff hanfords of feet above the ground, my legs limply kicking and flailing through the air, unable to grab onto anything.

"You have a special power within you, you're going to be strong one day!"

How many times has Nick said that to me? Too many times to count. For someone with a "special power" within them, I don't feel too strong. In fact, I feel weak as Hell, and I'm getting the crap beaten out of me! Well, it's been a good run…

Oh, god freaking dammit! Stop being so dramatic, Luis! Don't run away from your fights! I know I can beat this guy if I tried, so…

Maybe I should try.

***

Summoning every last bit of strength I have, I lift myself out of the rocky abyss below and stand up, blood soaked and battered.

"Back for more, eh?" Cell asks.

"Ugh, yeah...can't let myself get beaten, not yet. It would be a real pain to let all those people down, you know?" I reply. "Well…whatever. I'm tired of all this sappy shit when I fight, let's just continue."

I ready my Tornado-Drill Fist and charge Cell, who charges me back in response. I punch Cell, my attack failing to make contact. Cell fires back with a jab to the right kidney, which I dodged with ease. Cell and I keep up this pattern for a little bit, exchanging punches, dodging and blocking attacks, counter strike. Like I said, I've gotten pretty good at dodging attacks over the years, but Cell is no joke. His combat skills far out shone my dodging skills and I'm still getting beaten. I'd punch Cell, he'd phase through the attack, then Cell would aim a few punches at my weak spots, to which I tried to dodge, with most of Cell's punches still making contact.Kidneys, stomach, throat, nose, ribs, he targeted them all. I definitely have a broken nose, and maybe a few ribs. Eventually, Cell lands a hit that sends me flying backwards again.
