But Grover and Jamie's mourning is interrupted when they hear a familiar roar followed by a scream.
"That's it!" The two cry as they excitedly turn to face one another.
"That's gotta be a demon!" Grover exclaims.
"Our first battle as Senior Slayers!" Jamie replies.
Grover and Jamie then take off to where they heard the commotion, seeing a woman standing on top of a car surrounded by demons.
"They're attacking her!" Jamie cries. "We gotta save her!"
"Already on it!" Grover proudly booms with a smirk. A wormhole then appears next to Grover, which he hops inside. Next, a second wormhole then appears next to the woman, which Grover leaps out of.
"Hello, ma'am!" Grover begins to say, and the woman turns to face Grover and screams, tears and fear still in her eyes. "No need to scream, ma'am!" Grover continues. "For I am here! Grover Bradshaw, Slayer Midori, and future Chairman of the Pro Slayer Organization will save the d-"
Grover's typical spiel is interrupted when one of the demons crashes into the woman's car with a roar, causing her to scream as she slides off the roof.
"Oops," Grover reacts.
"For someone who can teleport, you sure are slow!" Jamie nags as she rushes over to one of the demons, slamming into it with a mighty iron fist, and sending it flying backwards.
"Oh, lay off!" Grover snaps as he teleports over to one of the demons, slamming his Cursed Power-infused leg into it, and sending it flying away as well. "How will I become Chairman of the Slayer Organization if people don't know who I am?"
Grover then hears a roar come from behind him, causing him to spin and flip around, before launching his Cursed Power reinforced foot into the woman's car, sending it flying forwards and crushing the demon to bits.
The woman screams. Not because of any demons, but because of her car. The woman is too busy distressing over her car to not notice the demon charging her from behind, so Jamie leaps in the way and catapults dual rubber fists towards the demon, killing it instantly.
"Maybe you should shorten your speech, then?" Jamie suggests.
"Nah," Grover replies as he teleports over to the final demon. "You need the full extent of it."
Jamie then turns around, facing the final demon as well.
Grover readies a leg and reinforces it with Cursed Power, while Jamie chambers a fist and turns it into iron.
"Wormhole…"
"Adaptability…"
"PINCER!"
With a battle cry, Grover launches his leg as Jamie punches her fist forwards, their attacks slamming into the demon from either side in the form of a powerful pincer, causing the demon to scream in agony as blood sprouts from its body, dousing the woman's car, before falling to the ground for good.
"Groverrrr!" Jamie wines. "I wanted the final kill!"
"How can I become Chairman if I let you steal all the credit?!" Grover snaps.
"M-my car…" the woman sobs as she drops to her knees in agony.
"Don't worry, ma'am, you're safe now!" Grover proudly exclaims as he and Jamie turn to face the woman.
The woman takes one look at the beaming Grover and Jamie, before looking back to her car. And then, without another word, the woman collapses to the floor and begins sobbing.
"Who cries after being saved?" Jamie asks as she turns to face Grover, causing the boy to shrug.

"Unnecessary property damage…disruption of peace…reckless usage of Cursed Power…"
The Chairman sighs as he flips through Grover and Jamie's report. "With just half of the crimes you committed here I could arrest you both!" He snaps. "What made you think using a civilian's car as a weapon was a good idea?!"
Grover and Jamie say nothing, they just point to one another.
"You two need to be more careful when slaying demons," the Chairman sighs. "Or else I'm seriously going to have to reconsider your position."
"I feel like Mikey before he became a Slayer," Jamie whispers to Grover, causing the two of them to giggle.
"Or I'll have to send you two to the Slayer University so that you can take classes and learn how to properly slay demons in a public setting," the Chairman continues, causing Grover and Jamie to gasp.
"OH, GOD, ANYTHING BUT THAT, PLEASE!" Grover sobs as he drops to his knees and begs for mercy.
"I mean…seriously, this information was covered in some of your classes in Freshman Year at the Pro Slayer High School!" The Chairman rambles. "Protecting citizens…evacuating the area…keeping property damage to a minimum…you should have learned the basics on your first day!"
"Well, we should have, but…" Jamie begins to say as she looks away from the Chairman.
"But what?" the Chairman spits as he furrows his brow at Jamie.
"We kinda…skipped," Grover answers. "A lot."
"You WHAT?!" The Chairman booms.
"We couldn't help it!" Jamie wines. "Nick gave us too many missions, we couldn't keep up!"
"Yeah, we can't possibly go to class and do homework while also slaying demons!" Grover adds.
"You had plenty of time to go on missions and study!" The Chairman snaps. "The school gives you two days off for each mission! One for the actual assignment, and one so that you can work on your homework and study the material that you missed in class! Plus, there's the weekends!"
"I game on the weekends."
"I box on the weekends."
The Chairman sighs. "Fūjin and Kaen don't matter since they're no longer here, but please tell me that Hīrā and Takanome didn't skip too."
"Only when I peer pressured her too," Grover answers.
"Austin skipped even more than us!" Jamie answers. "Always working on his inventions…"
"Luis skipped a lot too, of course," Grover then adds.
"Same with Mikey," Jamie chimes in. "Probably the most."
"Definitely the most."
The Chairman sighs again. "This is why I make it a point to not promote Slayers until after high school…" he mutters to himself under his breath. "These kids missed out on two more years of crucial knowledge. Slayer Hachi was a special case, of course, but what made me think that these four kids were ready…?"
"We're doomed."

"Um…Chairman, sir, someone is here to see you…" Jay meekly begins to say, but he's interrupted when I barge into the Chairman's office before him, with Grover, Jamie, and Austin on my heels.
"Ah, Luis Tramontana, to whom do I owe the honor?" The Chairman asks with a smirk as he peers up from his paperwork at me from behind his desk.
"Cut the crap, Solomon, why did you send your Assassins after me?!" I cry as I slam my hands on the Chairman's desk in front of him. "Again?!"
"My Assassins…you defeated them?" The Chairman asks. "Again?"
"Of course," I answer. "I'm standing here now, ain't I?"
"Did you kill them?"
"No. I've vowed to only kill one man."
"Slayer Kaze?" The Chairman says as he peers towards Jay standing in the doorway.
"Yes, sir?" Jay asks.
"Please leave us be. This conversation is for the Ex Slayer Hachi's Squad, only," the Chairman orders.
"Er…yes, sir…" Jay replies as he slinks out of the office, his pride wounded after having been the one to bring me to see the Chairman, as well as saving us from the demons. Whatever, I can explain everything to Jay after.
The Chairman then turns to face me again. "So what is it, Luis Tramontana?" He asks.
"Why does everyone keep calling me that?" I ask. "Not that I'm complaining, but I'm so used to being "Slayer Fūjin" or "Blue Demon" only."
"Oh, so you don't know?" The Chairman asks as he peers to my friends behind me from over my shoulder. Out of the condor of my eye, I see them shuffle nervously.
"Know what?" I snap.
"That you've been fired."
I'm silent.
"WWWHHHHAAAAATTTTTT?!?!?!?!"
"Did you guys know this?!" I frantically cry as I spin around to face my friends.
"Err…yeah…" Jamie awkwardly answers.
"Why didn't you tell me?!" I ask.
"Well we couldn't contact you while you were away!" Grover cries.
"The four of us spoke a few months ago, and we were going to let you get settled back home before breaking the ice," Austin explains as he pinches the bridge of his nose.
"Why was I fired?!" I cry as I spin around to face the Chairman again.
"Have you ever worked a job before this one, boy?" The Chairman asks me.
"I was fourteen, so no."
"You didn't report to work in over a year, so I fired you. Your Ex-Squadmates explained everything, but you should have at least taken a leave of absence first. I have no choice but to treat you as a rogue Demon Hunter illegally using Cursed Abilities, like the Pyromaniac" the Chairman explains.
I'm silent again.
"That…makes sense," I reply. "And wait, what's that about the Pyromaniac? That's old news?"
"Oh, remember how we told you Mikey's gone?" Grover asks.
"Err…he kinda quit the Organization…" Jamie sheepishly admits.
I'm silent again.
"WWWHHHHAAAAATTTTTT?!?!?!?!"
