Climax, Part 4

"So my dad…once ate humans…?" I shudder as my eyes widen, trying my best to throw up. "This just be what Daniel was referring to when he said that he wanted to "eat me" to become stronger…"

"Yes," Death answers. "Do you hate him now? Is he finally unredeemable in your eyes."

"OF COURSE NOT!" I snap, causing Death's eyes to widen. "My dad is a demon, so of course I know that he ate humans!" I explain. "But he's a changed man now…Pestilence isn't my father, and it ain't Conquest either! My dad…his name is Luis Tramontana! A human, and a Pro Slayer too!"

"You should see the world at face value, boy!" Death shouts. "There is one of you and five of us! Those loft ideals of yours, will now get you killed!"

Death then holds his cane out which then morphs into a long, jagged scythe made out of ivory bone. Death then brings his cane-scythe high above his head and twirls it down, before slamming it into the ground with a roar.

"NECROMANCY: SKELETAL BRAMBLES!"

Thorn vines of bones then begin jutting out of the ground towards me. I stare down Death's mighty attack, panting heavily, not having the strength to defend. But when all hope seems lost, a figure in gray armor then rises out of my shadow before me. Dozens of chains and sickles then fly out of my shadow towards Death's attack. The two attacks then make contact, canceling on another out.

"Daniel…" I softly say with a small smile. "Woah…" I then grunt as a wave of dizziness floods my entire body, causing me to lose balance. But that's when I feel someone catch me, and I look up to see Jamie standing before me. "Jamie…" I weakly say.

"You're not looking too good here, Luis!" Jamie laughs.

"I've had better days…" I weakly reply.

"Don't forget me, too!" I then hear a voice shout, and I look to where I hear the voice, seeing Grover hop out of a spiraling light-green wormhole, scoop Ella up, and teleport the two of them over to us.

"Ella…Grover…" I reply with a small smile.

"What…happened…?" Ella weakly asks as her eyes flutter open.

"You were knocked out for a bit," I answer as Grover sets her on the ground.

"We've brought allll the troops!" A voice exclaims, and I turn around to see a smirking Austin approach us as well.

"Austin…" I weakly say with a small smile.

Jamie then helps me back up to my feet, as I turn back to face our opponents one last time.

"See?" I call to Death. "I'm not alone. In my time of need…my friends will always come save me. That's what it means to be a squadmate."

Death grits his teeth in frustration. "YOU MAY OUT NUMBER US NOW, BUT YOU'RE STILL WEAK!" He roars. "YOU HAVE NO SHOT AT VICTORY!"

"Well guys," I smirk as I place my hands on my hips, staring down our final five opponents. "What should we do now?"

"You know who I'm going after, Luis," Daniel growls.

"Of course I do!" I reply with a laugh. "Ella, Grover, Jamie, Austin…long story short; my dad's true identity is Pestilence, of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, but he's still on our side, War just used her second Cursed Ability, Emotion Manipulation, in order to bring forth my dad's split personality; Conquest," I continue as I turn around to face my squadmates. "Can I trust you guys to snap him back to his senses?"

"Of course, buddy!" Grover cheers.

"We'll do it for you, Luis!" Ella answers.

"A member of the Four Horsemen, eh…seems like a fun match!" Jamie replies as she cracks her knuckles.

"While I don't like you telling us what to do…yes, I oblige," Austin smirks as he does the anime glasses guy thing.

"Well then…" I reply as I turn back around to face our opponents. "LET'S GO!"

A wormhole then opens up behind and infront of Conquest, as well as in front of Grover. My squadmates then leap inside of Grover's wormhole, teleporting directly in front of Conquest.

"KNOCKBACK WAVE!"

Ella then aims her palm at Conquest and discharges a large orange wave of Cursed Power,, catching the demon off guard, and using her Knockback Wave to push Conquest into the wormhole, teleporting him away. Ella, Grover, Jamie, and Austin then hop in after Conquest.

Meanwhile, Daniel dives back into the shadows before reappearing out of his dad's shadow, Death. "You're coming with me, father…" Daniel growls as he palms Death's face, dragging the Demon King down into the shadows alongside him.

"What are you going to do now?" War asks Famine, as the two demons turn around and begin walking away from Mikey and I.

"I was going to go see what my children are up to. Unfortunately, June has already died, so I'm stuck with August and Winter," Famine answers with a sigh. "And you?"

"Ohhh…probably just go rest up a little bit until either the Blue Demon or the Pyromaniac kill one another," War answers with an evil smirk. "I want to fight the winner."

"Well then…I suppose this is where the paths of the four Horsemen divulge again," Famine replies. "I'm sure none of us will die by the time that this war is over."

"Oh, of course not!" War answers, as the two demons take their separate paths.

"DAMMIT!" Pestilence cries as he tumbles to the ground outside of Grover's wormhole. "Where are we?!" Pestilence snaps as he jumps to his feet and brushes himself off.

"I just thought that being too close to Luis and Mikey will get in the way of us killing ya'!" Grover cheerfully exclaims as he hops out of his wormhole as well. Ella, Jamie, and Austin hop out of the wormhole after Grover.

Looking around, Conquest sees that Grover has teleported them back to New York City, standing in the center of the ruins of a giant office building.

"We're standing in the remnants of the Slayer Organization Headquarters…" Grover sadly answers, as if reading Conquest's mind. Grover then reaches into his pockets and draws a kunai knife, aiming the tip of its blade at Conquest. "I thought this would be a fitting place for our fight!"

"Alright then, after a kill ya' four, I'll go back to giving my son some…"conversion therapy," Conquest replies as he draws his katana and aims the tip of its blade at Grover. "THAT IS…IF YOU THINK YOU CAN DEFEAT "DUAL ABILITIES" CONQUEST!"

Poison gas then begins leaking out of the pores of Conquest's right katana- wielding arm. The poison gas then begins to rise into the air and spiral around the blade of Conquest's katana, like a small green tornado.

"This reminds me…of Luis…" Jamie comments.

"EXTEND-O-SWORD: POISON PORES!" Conquest then shouts as he swings his katana towards the four Pro Slayers, extending the poison-coated blade of his katana in the process.

"THIS REMINDS ME OF LUIS!" Jamie cries.

"Conquest…he's so much faster and stronger than Luis' own Extend-o-Blade!" Austin adds.

"Wormhole!" Grover shouts as he opens up a wormhole in front of him and his three comrades, as he, Jamie, and Austin leap inside.

"Knockback Wave!" Ella cries as she aims her palms at Conquest's extended katana blade, discharging a small orange ring of Cursed Power, and using it to knock Conquest's katana away from her.

Upon exiting out of a second wormhole, the three Pro Slayers find themselves standing behind Conquest.

Grover cocks his right leg back as it begins bubbling with green Cursed Power.

Jamie punches her fists together, turning her hands and wrists into iron

Austin's mechanical arm morphs into the barrel of a gun.

"WORMHOLE: GREEN ROUNDHOUSE!"

"ADAPTABILITY: IRON GAUNTLET!"

"GUNSMITH, GADGETS AND GIZMOS: SHOTGUN!"

With a battle cry, Grover and Jamie launch their respective attacks towards Conquest's back, just as Austin fires off a shotgun slug towards Conquest. But before the three respective attacks can connect, in the blink of an eye, Conquest's extended katana blade retracts back to its usual length, then retracts even shorter than it was before.

"Alright…let's do this…" Ella says to herself as she reaches up and pulls off her black eyepatch, slowly opening up her orange and red Demon Seal Eye.

Conquest then pivots the hilt of his shortened katana in his hand, holding it ice- pick style, before jabbing it backwards, reinforced the shortened blade of his katana with his dark-blue and silver Cursed Power.

"DEMON SEAL!" Ella shouts in an attempt to negate Conquest's Cursed Power, but…nothing happens.

"Were you trying to do something there, little girl?!" Conquest cackles.

"What…?" Ella stammers. "Why didn't it work?! Demon Seal!" Again, Ella attempts to negate Conquest's Cursed Power, just as before, nothing happens, and Conquest continues his assault on Grover, Jamie, and Austin. "WHY IS NOTHING HAPPENING?!" Ella wails.

"EXTEND-O-SWORD!" Conquest shouts as the blade of his katana swiftly extends, slashing the three Pro Slayers standing behind him , who each let out a howl of pain.
