"You're coming with me, father…" Daniel growls as he palms Death's face. An explosion of dark gray and black Cursed Power then bursts out of Daniel's body as Daniel's shadow below his feet then begins to grow larger and stretch outwards, forming a circle around both Death and Daniel, who then begin to sink down into Daniel's shadow until they're fully submerged.
Once fully assimilated into Daniel's shadow, Death looks but all that Greed sees is black. Wherever he is, there are no walls, floors, or ceilings, just an endless abyss of black.
"Shadow Sickles: Ghost Driver!" Daniel then shouts as he dashes forwards, swinging through his shadow at blinding speeds until Daniel has dragged Death far enough away from all of their other opponents in order to have a safe fight of their own.
Once far enough away from the others, Daniel then leaps out of his shadow, and drags Death out along with him, and the two demons find themselves standing on top of a giant skyscraper overlooking the city
"How…did you do that?!" Death cries as he drops to his knees, gasping for breath.
"I've grown far stronger than since you've last seen me, father," Daniel spits.
"So how do you do, son?" Death asks with a smirk. "Despite this war around us constantly raging, the two of us still haven't spoken since…oh, I don't know…you were thirteen?"
"Twelve…" Daniel growls.
"My…that long ago…" Death says to himself under his breath as he places a hand to his chin.
"Don't you "how do you do son" me…" Daniel growls.
"Jeez…I was just making small talk…" Death grumbles as he rubs the back of his neck in annoyance. "You're as pleasurable to be around as always…
"I've dreamt of this day for thousands of years…" Death continues as he wanders over to the ledge of the roof of the skyscraper that he and his son are conversing on top of. "And now that it's here I feel…elated..." Death continues as he stretches his arms out. The wind blows through Death's hair as he peers down at the unfolding chaos. As far as the eye could see, New York City is destroyed. Cracks and craters run through the streets and the city itself is on fire. Most of the buildings are destroyed too. "How do you feel about this, son? All of this chaos, all of this destruction. Do you enjoy it?" Death asks. "I'm sure you don't. Only I in this family is fond of watching the death of humanity."
"Of course I don't. You make me sick," Daniel answers. "All of his destruction, all of this death, all for what? To take what isn't yours? To kill those who did nothing to harm you? It's repulsive."
Death turns around to face his son and smiles. "It is in my name, afterall," Death replies.
"I loathe the fact that I am related to you in any way…" Daniel growls.
"Ouch! Harsh!" Death winces, causing Daniel's eyes to widen as his entire body tenses up. "What did I ever do to you?"
"YOU KILLED MY MOTHER, YOU BASTARD!" Daniel roars, causing Death to chuckle in response.
"You're just so fun to tease, sonny boy!" Death laughs. "I bringing up your mother around you, it never fails to rile you up!"
"You have some nerve to call me by a pet name…" Daniel growls.
"Either, let's cut to the chase," Death abruptly interrupts as he claps his hands together. "You're here to kill me, no?" Death asks with a sigh. "I always knew that you would do that one day, Daniel. Though I didn't think that you'd have the balls to attempt this until waaaay later in life. Do you really believe that you're strong even to kill me as you stand now? How old are you, anyway? Sixteen?"
"Eighteen…" Daniel answers.
"Eigh-whaaa…?!" Death replies, his voice fading out due to how astonished the demon seems. "But you just turned fourteen, like…yesterday?!"
"What do you mean, I turned fourteen yesterday?!" Daniel snaps. "You weren't there for it regardless, so why does it matter?!"
"You know, is it really all that hard to believe that I don't love my son…?" Death sighs, his feelings sounding truly wounded.
"Yes, yes it is! It really is!" Daniel shouts, clearly flabbergasted. "You didn't love your wife, so why would you love your son?!"
"Well, I only married Ruby to create you, my son," Death answers with a smirk. "Ruby was nothing more than a piece in my puzzle to becoming the Demon King. Tell me, my son, can you use Shadow Beasts yet?"
Daniel remains silent.
"Exactly," Death sighs. "I was really hoping that you'd grow up to become a wonderful prince of Hell, but rather…you're just a weak half-demon playing buddy- buddy with the humans."
"If Luis can befriend humans, then so can I!" Daniel shouts.
"Pestillence's boy?!" Death asks. "I always knew that he was a bad influence on you! Making you all nice, and…mushy, and turning you into some dog of the Slayer Organization."
"Luis is the one who saved me from myself…" Daniel growls. "He helped me remember my mother's words and revive the kindness in my heart. If it wasn't for Luis... THEN I WOULDN'T BE STANDING HERE TODAY!"
"You don't be standing heer after today regardless," Death replies as he holds his cane up. The cane grows longer and longer as its shaft morphs into jagged white bone, and the hook of the cane morphs into a curved, black, jagged sickle blade. "Luis saved you from yourself…BUT WHO WILL SAVE YOU FROM ME?"
"I don't need anyone…" Daniel replies as shadow sickles begin wiggling out of his shadow. "I'LL KILL YOU HERE, FATHER!"
Daniel's body turns transparents as it begins bubbling with black and dark-gray Cursed Power. Daniel then dashes over to Death, and before his dad can react, Daniel shoots a hand outwards, palming Death by the face.
"SHADOW SICKLES: NIGHT ABYSS OF PURGATORY!" Daniel booms as black and dark-gray Cursed Power explodes out of Daniel's body and wraps around Death, who counters by bursting his own rush of white Cursed Power out of his own body, knocking Daniel's burst of Cursed Power away. Daniel's shadow underneath his feet spreads outwards and forms a circle underneath himself and Death, But unlike before, when Daniel used his "Night Abyss of Purgatory" to drag Death down into the Shadows, this time…nothing happens.
"What?!" Daniel cries. "Why can't I use my Nighty Abyss of Purgatory?!"
"That ability of yours involves you overwhelming your opponent's Cursed Power with your one, in order to drag them down into your own domain," Death monologues as he knocks Daniel's hand away from his face. "SO IT'S POWERLESS AGAINST ME, THE STRONGEST DEMON AND THE DEMON KING!"
With a roar, Daniel swings his bone-scythe outwards, slashing Daniel with it and sending the half-demon flying backwards.
"Dammit!" Daniel cries as he's sent flying backwards from Death's attack. "My father is stronger than I am…my only hope for victory was to trap him inside of my own shadow, the only place where I have the advantage over him! Now, with that resort no longer…"
"I don't know if I can win!"
"Necromancy-" Death begins to say as he brings his bone-scythe high into the air above his head and begins twirling it around. "-Skeletal Brambles!" Death shouts as he slams his bone-scythe down into the ground, its long, jagged blade piercing the floor with ease, and sending brambles of sharp, barbed bones (mimicking thorn vines) jutting out of the ground and heading towards Daniel.
Swiftly, Daniel counters by landing back on the ground in a crouched position and touching his palm to the floor. "Shadow Sickles: Chain and Sickle!" Daniel shouts as dozens of Shadow Sickles wiggle their way out of Daniel's shadow, before flying towards Death. Daniel's Shadow Sickles and Death's Skeletal Brambles fly towards one another then collide, the two attacks canceling one another out.
"Hmm…" Death marvels as he proudly stares across the roof of the building that the two are battling on at Daniel. "You've gotten better, my son."
"As I've told you," Daniel growls.
"Shadow Sickles: The Betrayal of One's Own Self!" Daniel touches his hand to the ground again, causing even more Shadow Sickles to wiggle their way out of Daniel's shadow, before flying towards Death. But at the same time, a singular Shadow Sickle wiggles its way out of Death's shadow as well, and begins flying towards the Demon.
"Despite all of those blades flying towards me- Death begins to say as he watches Daniel's army of Shadow Sickles fly towards him with a smirk. "-The real attack comes from here! Death finishes as he spins around, grabbing the singular Shadow Sickle which had wiggled its way out of Death's shadow, before it can pierce him in the back.
"Dammit…" Daniel nervously grunts.
With a mighty yank, Death then rips the singular Shadow Sickle in his hand out of the shadow from which it was born out of, causing the Shadow Sickle to instantly dissipate back into Daniel's black and dark-gray Cursed Power. Death then spins around again to face Daniel's army of Shadow Sickles.
