Family?

KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!

"Open the door! What time do you think it is, huh?!"

KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!

"Stop being lazy! Wake up, you son of bitch!"

Suddenly there was a banging on the door and a woman's voice shouting from outside. Occasionally there were even swear words coming out of her mouth.

Odin raised his right eyebrow in astonishment as he said, "Do you know her?"

"Y-Yes... she's my aunt, my mother's younger sister."

"Oh? Where is your —"

SMASH!

When Odin had just said two to three words and then the door to his room had been opened from outside. He reflexively turned his head and found that a fat woman had entered his room without permission.

Odin could see the anger in her eyes, but he ignored it and only reacted with a wordless question while tilted his head.

"How can you still sleep like a pig, huh?"

"..."

"Now get up! Do you think I'm not hungry?!"

"I'm sorry, auntie. I was so tired that I fell asleep too quickly," Kai said while Odin kept quiet thinking that it was none of his business.

"Now get up and make breakfast for us! Are you going to starve us all to death?!"

After saying that, the middle-aged woman walked out with heavy steps. Meanwhile, Kai let out a long sigh while rubbing his face with his left hand.

"Can you walk to the kitchen now? I need to make breakfast for them," Kai said in a somber tone.

Odin raised his right eyebrow in astonishment. There seems to be something different about this human — he thought. However, Odin chose not to comment much and quickly walked towards the direction of Kai.

Arriving in the kitchen, Kai immediately prepared breakfast for his aunt's family. He seemed to be struggling a bit because he could only use his left hand.

"Hey, if you need help, you should ask me. I — hmph!"

Kai immediately covered his own mouth with his left hand to stop Odin from speaking. He was afraid that someone might hear him and realize that his voice was different.

"Who are you talking to?!"

As expected, his auntie was noticed right away and Kai quickly replied, "I-It's nothing, auntie. I'm just practicing my vocals for the theater club at school."

"Tsk, stop playing around and hurry up to prepare the food! It's taking so long!"

"O-Ok, auntie. The food will be ready soon," Kai replied and his aunt's voice was no longer heard.

"..."

"Hey, can you stop talking right now? You'll get me in trouble if you keep talking," Kai said in a whispered voice.

"Tsk, what's the problem? You're afraid of pigs like — hmph!"

Kai covered his own mouth with his left hand again and then hissed as if signaling Odin to keep quiet.

"Sshh! Be quiet! I promise I'll do anything for you as long as you keep quiet for a while. Do you understand? If you understand, nod your head and stay quiet," Kai said in a whisper, while Odin nodded slowly.

"Good."

The atmosphere between them became silent and only the sound of oil splashing and Kai slicing ingredients could be heard. Soon, Kai's breakfast was finished and she served it to the table where it was eaten with gusto by her aunt, uncle and their children.

"Next time, I won't tolerate something like this anymore. Look at my son, they're starving because of you," said his aunt.

"I-I promise that I won't be late again to prepare the food," Kai said.

The woman continued to ramble, while Odin just stared in confusion at everything she said. The woman kept saying that Kai slept like a pig, ate like a pig, lived like a pig. Those words were more match for her — Odin thought.

However, Odin still chose to remain silent, as did Kai who was completely silent. It's none of his business anyway — Odin thought. Until a sentence manages to trigger Odin to speak.

"You should thank me. After your bitch-mom died, if it isn't because of me, you're gonna be a homeless child."

"..."

"No one cares about you, not even your biological father who has gone nowhere and left you with that whore. Even me ... I'm ashamed to have such a slut sister like —"

"Hey ..."

"..."

"I think your words are too much. You say bad things about your sister as if you're better than her? Tsk, don't make me laugh," said Odin mockingly and then chuckled sarcastically at the end.

"Of course! I'm too expensive to be fucked by random man that I meet! Do you get it, brat?! So don't argue with me, instead, you should thank me and say sorry about your insolence!"

"..."

"Did your mom teach you that first? No wonder, because you have an ugly face and are uneducated, very different from my son, William," said that woman while bragging about her son.

"Well, you should be ashamed of your life, you idiot! And mom, I've even seen him punished many times at school for forgetting to do his homework. He must have done something bad to get a scholarship," said the boy named William.

"Yeah, as I expected, he must have followed the path like his slut mom. Like mother, like son," said the middle-aged man who was equally fat.

After these words, they laughed. Meanwhile, Odin smiled stiffly with his right eye twitching. Odin clenched his right hand as if he was holding back his emotions. Look how brazen these pigs are — Odin thought.

But then, Odin grinned widely and said, "Well, you're right and I believe that. You wouldn't sleep with just any man."

The middle-aged woman also smiled proudly and said, "Did you end up hating that bitch. Not surprising since —"

"Well, of course you wouldn't sleep with any man, did any human ever fuck a pig?" said Odin with a wide grin.

"..."

"Stop —"

"I also wonder how my mother could have a sister like you. Are you a pig born from a human womb, or a human cursed by the Gods to become a pig? Which one is more suitable for you?"

There was an instant silence with a look of anger on the faces of the aunt, her husband and son. They seemed to be gripping the cutlery tightly in their hands as if they were holding back their anger.

On the other hand, Odin covered the mouth with right hand as he tried to prevent Kai from speaking. Odin grinned with satisfaction as he looked at their faces that were getting red with an expression of restrained anger. If only he had returned to Valhalla, then he would have made sure to send the names of these fucking-humans to Hell — he thought.

"You ...!"

"Ah, really, I don't understand why humans are so denial. You call me a pig and even bring my mother's name into the matter. I think you need a mirror more than food. Really, you all seem more like pigs than humans." said Odin.

"How dare you! Are you crazy for calling us pigs?!" The middle-aged woman shouted angrily.

"That's just the way it is," Odin said with a nonchalant face as he walked away.

On the other hand, Odin's words managed to trigger the anger of Kai's aunt and her husband and son. They looked angry and beat the table until the items on it fell.

"You! Son of bitch! You're no different from your bitch mom! Who taught you to talk like that?!"

"Gods."

"Stop talking nonsense! Something seems to be wrong with your —"

"Hey, piggy..."

"W-What?! p-piggy?! You little brat! You —"

"Tsk, I never knew that pigs are so noisy. Weren't you the one who asked me where I learned to talk? Of course from Gods! There's no way I learned to speak from pigs like you guys and yet, are there pigs speaking in human language? I don't think so," Odin said sarcastically and instantly make those people looked speechless.

"..."

Odin continued on his way, but when he reached the doorway to the living room he stopped and looked back.

"Ah, I forgot to tell you guys something important. Anyway, if you want to eat, I suggest avoiding pork meat. Otherwise, it looks like you guys are eating yourself and your races. That's disgusting to eat the meat from your races, right?" Odin said just as he passed through the room.

A second later, Odin could hear the shouts of that woman from inside the room while swearing at him. However, Odin seemed not to care and instead whistled as he walked out of the house.

"Why did you do that?" said Kai coldly, when they had walked quite a distance from the house.

"What's the problem?" Odin asked back with a confused expression.

"Of course it's a problem! You make we are getting more trouble now."

Odin frowned when he heard Kai's answer and then said, "Trouble? From those piggy?"

"Well yeah — I-I mean, after all, she is my only family that can take responsibility for me here. What if we get kicked out of the house?" said Kai with anxiety and worry.

"In that case, you just need to find a new home, right?" But Odin responded very casually.

"Do you think everything is as easy as you thought?!"

Odin raised his right eyebrow as he said, "Of course."

"You talk nonsense! How come an alter ego like you have experienced how difficult life is."

"Tsk, trust me! It's gonna be easy," Odin said in an annoyed tone.

Hearing those words, Kai smiled dismissively as he said, "The last time I trusted you, you almost made me be killed."

"W-Well, but we managed to survive in the end, right?" said Odin who was trying to maintain his pride to be considered right.

Kai rolled his left eye and replied, "Alright, then I want to ask you something. I will believe you depending on your answer."

"..."

"How did you get me a new home, huh?" said Kai in a mocking tone.

For a moment Odin seemed to have a thoughtful look on his face as he rubbed his chin with his right hand. From his expression, he seemed to be trying to remember something, until he finally succeeded.

"Ah, doesn't here use something called 'money' to get what you want?" said Odin confidently.

"So? What exactly do you want to talk about?"

"Tsk, how an idiot human. I just need to create as much of that thing called 'money' as possible, right? I can even make it with just a snap of my fingers and tadaa … I get the money."

"..."

"So why do you need to think so hard?!" said Odin casually.

Hearing these words, Kai looked confused and said, "What do you mean?"
