Odin woke up with panting and cold sweat flooding his body. Before he had time to calm down, a notification suddenly sounded and followed with the [System] screen appearing in front of him.

He stared at the screen with a frown because he was still blurry. Odin suddenly felt pain in his head. He thought this might be the 'penalty' he got for failing the 2nd main mission. However, suddenly the [System] notification sounded again.

Seeing words of the [System] screens that appeared alternately, made Odin even more clueless.
But if he keeps thinking about it. Didn't the failure penalty also be fickle from the beginning? From 'unknown', to 'become a sex slave', and then the last become 'death' — Odin thought.

In the middle of his thoughts, suddenly the notification sound came back and a [System] screen appeared.

Odin frowned as he stared confusedly at the [System] screen. His gaze focused on the 'Time Remaining' section where the word 'pending' was written next to it.
"Is it broken again?" said Odin as he sighs deeply.
He was too used to [System] suddenly getting an error.
Shortly after, there was the sound of footsteps approaching his room. Odin instantly remembered the incident at the internet cafe before so he became anxious and picked up a vase on the small table next to his bed.

A man in a white suit entered with two women following him. For a moment, they looked surprised when they saw the boy who was ready to throw the vase in his hand.
The man soon understood that the boy in front of him was probably in shock from the incident that happened a few hours ago. This is a natural thing, considering how the boy had been in critical condition for several hours.
Moreover, it was even a fortune that the boy woke up just an hour after passing his critical period. What a miracle — he thought.
"H-Hey, son. Calm down, you're safe here," the man said as he showed his identification card.
With a friendly smile, then he said again, "Look, I'm a doctor here."
On the other side, Odin put down the vase he was about to throw and just held it in alertness. Then he stared at the man in front of him with an uncomprehending gaze.
"Doctor?" asked Odin in confusion as he tilted his head.
"Yes, I am a doctor. Wait, I'll check on your condition now," said the doctor as he walked over calmly as he knew that boy was still wary.

"Mm, can I take the vase?" said the man.
But Odin, who was still anxious, firmly replied, "No."
"Err ... well, you can take it that way. But can you keep it away from your stomach and chest? Because I need to check your condition," said the doctor again while putting a stethoscope in his ear.
Odin was silent for a moment as he stared intently at that man. He tried to look for a bad intention from that man's eyes, but his senses told him that there was nothing bad there. Odin then sighed as he placed the vase beside his body.
"Do it," Odin replied briefly.
When heard that, the doctor let out a sigh of relief. It was a good thing this boy did not get hysterical due to shock. Otherwise, there is no choice but to anesthetize him — the doctor thought.
Afterward, the doctor pressed the surface of his stethoscope to the chest of the boy in front of him. He also checked other parts such as the eyes, mouth, and especially the condition of the left arm that had been injured by a bullet.
The doctor sighed and then said, "It seems there is nothing to worry about for now ..."

"You're just in shock, because of that your left arm and left eye had temporary dysfunction. But don't worry, it will get better in a few days," said the doctor.
On the other hand, Odin seemed to widen his right eye when he heard those words. At that moment, he remembered the original soul of this body.

"By the way, who is your guardian? I'll contact them for you."
Odin was still in his reverie and ignored the doctor's words, until the doctor spoke again.
"Hello?"
Instantly, Odin felt like his consciousness pulled back. Then Odin looked flatly at the doctor as if he asked to repeat the words.
The doctor said again, "Who is your guardian?"
Odin looked at the large window next to him and said, "No one."
"Ah, no need to worry about the cost ..."

"The city police have covered all your hospital fees and they will probably see you soon to give some compensation from the government," said the doctor while Odin was still unmoved.
The doctor then sighed softly. He thought that the boy in front of him was still in shock and confusion.
"Then, I'll leave you for now. If you need help, just press the button," said the doctor and left with two nurses following him.

On the other side, Odin was still silent even though the people had left just now. For some reason, his thoughts and feelings were mixed up.
There was a slight feeling of suffocation inside his chest — and this was the first time he felt this way.
Unconsciously, Odin squeezed his left chest while looking up at the midday sky where the sun is slowly moving to west horizon.
"Hey brat, hurry up and wake up," Odin murmured while smiling weakly.
