Chapter 55- Fake White Flower

When Harrison quickly departed, Anna shrugged and sat down on the bed, gazing at Delilah. Soon after Fredrick ran into the infirmary, Anna noticed him. Her face flushed red with rage, and she took hold of his wrist to drag him from the room.

At Delilah's ward entrance,

" What are you doing here?" With her teeth clenched, Anna questioned.

In response, Fredrick questioned, "What happened to her?"

It is none of your business, Anna remarked with a frown.

"Will you please stop being a mummy hen?" Fredrick's expression turned cold.

" So? So what if I am a mother hen…?"

Prior to Fredrick having a chance to respond, "You know what? At least I will be able to keep her away from peasants like you now that I am a mother hen! Anna retorted.

"What did you just say?" Fredrick asked with a sour expression.

" I called you a peasant… What? Do you have a problem with that!?" Anna said.

Frederick said, "Now you listen to me--," but before he could finish.

BAM! The door slammed in his face as Anna walked into the room.

Before heading into the ward, "Girls…." he rubbed his temple and moaned.

When Anna saw Fredrick walk in, she palmed her face. Just as she opened her mouth to say something, another person walked in. Anna nearly lost her mind at that point.

" You… What do you want?" she asked in a grave tone as her eyes narrowed sharply.

Amy glanced at Fredrick and then turned to face Anna. "I -I apologize; I was just checking in on Delilah be-because I heard what happened to her,". Her eyes misted as she inhaled deeply.

" I -I know I have been a good friend lately, and I have done horrible things… I am sorry, I am deeply sorry… for everything, seriously I just want to apologize and maybe try to make up for my wrongs…" Amy sobbed uncontrollably as she apologized.

Anna shook her head; she could tell instantly that Amy was acting, and since she was too lazy to bother, she returned to her spot on the cot and continued to enjoy the entertaining performance in front of her.

Amy was merely trying to apologize, so Fredrick felt bad when he saw her cry. His gaze softened as he moved in her direction, wiping her tears with his thumb. "It is okay, everyone makes mistakes; you do not need to punish yourself for it," he comforted.

Frederick's words made Amy cry even more. She nodded, but just as she opened her mouth,

" Okay, that is it! I have had enough of this fake white flower. Anna stated icily.

Amy sniffed, "I am sorry, but who are you?" Even if no one else saw it, Anna noticed the dangerous glint in her eyes.
