Chapter 100- Protect Her In His Arms Until The End of time.

"…"

" Is he fine now?" Delilah suddenly asked.

" Who? Harrison? Yeah, he just sprained his ankle a little" Anna answered.

Delilah panicked, "How is he now?"

Anna recall the previous day Harrison came to check on her, "He seems… rather agile" she answered with a shrug.

Delilah was quiet for about ten seconds before she said, "I want to see him"

Fifteen minutes later, Delilah and Anna were standing before the door to Harrison's ward, a carton of milk and buns in her hand.

Delilah was hesitant to go in, Anna stood on a side grinning. Only Harrison hadn't heard the news about Delilah's awakening.

" Come on, go in" she beckoned her to go in.

Delilah nodded, drew in a deep breath and knocked on the door.

" Come in" came a cold voice from within.

The door slowly opened, and their breath seized in their throats.

Harrison was sitting on the bed, the sun from the window illuminating on his body, one leg crossed over the other. He was in a green tank top, his muscles flexing as he turned the page of the business studies book he was reading.

His appearance at that moment embodied serenity, peace, coldness, and beauty.

Delilah and Anna were stupefied, how can someone be so hot, handsome, and pitiful at the same time.

Anna snapped out of her reverie, her gentle nudge brought Delilah back to reality. "Ahem, good…good morning, c…classmate," she stuttered, her voice still hoarse from fever, and they approached the bed.

Harrison felt his heart shudder at the sound of that familiar voice, he looked up from his book, his eyes locking onto Delilah. "Hm," he nodded curtly, his eyes never leaving her.

Delilah pressed her lips into a straight line as she peered at cartons of milk and buns on the table. "Uhm…" she trailed off, feeling awkward under Harrison's intense stare and meal in her hand.

Seems he has breakfast covered. As she was about to put the meal in her hands away, she heard him say,

"Put it there," he gestured to the empty spot beside him on the bed.

Delilah nodded, her hands trembling slightly as she placed the meal beside him. The sudden proximity sent shivers down their spines, their breathing slowed, and they gulped in unison.

As Delilah slowly raised her eyes to meet Harrison's, time seemed to stand still. They stared at each other, searching for answers, their souls trying to connect. The air was thick with tension, heavy with unspoken emotions.

At that moment, nothing else existed but the two of them. The world outside melted away, leaving only the thrumming of their hearts, beating in tandem like a duet of longing.

Anna cleared her throat softly and the couple jolted to reality.

Delilah moved away, avoiding his gaze, she cleared her throat, "I… I heard it was classmate who… who brought me to the clinic the other night, I… I came to show my gratitude" she and Anna bowed deeply, "Thank you classmate Ha- Harrison"

They rose, "I hope classmate Harrison accepts our gratitude, we-we will be leaving now" Delilah added, and they turned to leave when Delilah halted.

She turned her head and look down at the hand holding on to her wrist, to Harrison. Her heart skipped a beat, and she gulped, "Cl…classmate?" calling out softly.

Harrison quickly let go of her wrist, he only grabbed her wrist reflexly, he was afraid he might not see her again.

Now that he has found her, he would rather not let her go again. He wants to hold and protect her in his arms until the end of time.
