Nightmare

Avery's breathing became ragged when she saw the way the building kept on burning while a few silhouettes of humans were standing outside the building.

The night felt so cold, with the sea breeze making its way onto the land. She couldn't fathom if she was dreaming or not, but it felt so real.

So real that she could feel the hairs on the back of her neck standing.

But before she could move closer to where the silhouette was, she fluttered her eyelids open. Avery found out she was still in her room all along, but why did it feel so real?

"A nightmare," Avery whispered, touching her head. As if trying to soothe it. She rose from the bed and drank some water from the jug.

She was about to go back to sleep when she noticed the window in her room was closed.
